This is a Southern Car which I bought 5 years ago. It has a clean history. I rebuilt the front end completely, and the engine is the strongest Mercedes diesel of it's age and mileage I have encountered (I have had 3 over the years.) It doesn't burn or leak oil, and I cannot even make it smoke going up hills - really! Unfortunately I was diagnosed with stage IV cancer two and a half years ago, so I bought a newer car it had been sitting idle since then. It is dirty and baked, and I cannot clean it thoroughly, so rubber bits and lots of little things will need attention, but it starts every time, first time even in winter no matter how long it has been sitting. I think it would be a great conversion or beater, and I would still use it for that, but I can't work on it because of health. The car was working well when retired for a newer car in 2009, but has been sitting pretty much idle since then and it is now not charging. The air conditioning is now not working, and the climate control module needs attention since the heat seems to be all or nothing. The interior trim plastic is baked and dirty from sitting without attention. The interior tex/carpeting appears to be is sound if a little dirty and messy. The car has the fold down third seat option. The pictures are current (day of listing,) but the car has been neglected and is in need of attention. It breaks my heart, it deserves better. The bodywork/undercoated frame was quite sound three years ago, but there is now rust showing. I don't think it is advanced, but it will need attention. I can't even make the effort to clean the car well at this point, so I have to sell it. The starting price is set well below the cost of a used engine, so somebody can part it out at a good profit at the very least. The front end parts are new, and the engine (turbo) and transmission seem unusually strong. I haven't been able to clean or work on the car other than charge-starting it occasionally, so I don't know what mechanical/electrical things no longer work from sitting. It is for sale strictly "as is," but I can demonstrate engine and transmission are working and sound. I cannot ship, you must pickup.
