I am selling my 2000 Audi TT 1.8 Turbo. I have owned it for about 2 years and have always changed the oil every 3,000 miles and kept up on basic maintenance. On 3/11/10 I took it to the Audi Dealership for a factory recall. They replaced a front stabilizer bar, suspension strut, control arm right and left, rear stabilizer bar, rear stabilizer rubber mount, rear shock absorber, and many nuts and bolts. This replacement had it not been under warranty would have cost about $2700. I also had them do a diagnostic test. They said the car needed a good amount of repairs including coolant temp sensor, haldex module, abs light rec sensor(I have one which is included), longitudinal acceleration sensor, instrument cluster, battery, front ball joints, left side inner C/V joint, front sway bar links and rear swaybar links. I had the aftermarket exhaust leak fixed. This diagnostic write-up can be viewed below. I think it will also require a new alternator. I just changed the battery and it will not hold a charge. The car will start and run for about 2 minutes and then shut off. At this point none of the electronics will work. I am almost positive the alternator is at fault. This car has 164,893 miles. As you can see by the photos, this is a very sharp looking car. It is clean but the interior shows a good amount of wear and there are some dings, scratches, and sap from local pine trees stuck on the paint. There is a bleach stain in the trunk and some juice spilled behind the driver side seat. The back seat is missing the ash tray cover. The rims also have some curb and salt marks. Both of the seats have broken up and down adjust levers. I have one of them still. Also the emergency brakes top chrome knob fell off. I also have this piece. I have some touch up paint from Audi that I will include as well as the manual and two keys. This car passed inspection and emissions 2/22/10 in Massachusetts.
