Vehicle Detail

For 8 years this was my wife's daily driver . . up until 5 days ago.  It has been EXTREMELY reliable over these years, a part of the family so to speak.  It is not perfect, but still was being used every day reliably. Its the top of the line Cherokee in 1997, a Country.  The drivetrain is great. I have used only Mobil1 in the engine and it has NEVER needed a drop of oil added between oil changes. It doesn't leak nor burn oil. The transmission shifts perfectly. This past spring I flushed and replaced the fluid again. The best part though is the outside of the Jeep. You will not find a better condition vehicle with this mileage and years. The outside is still very impressive. It has no damage. The paint is still perfectly shiny. There are small chips and scratches from NORMAL usage, but other than that . . nothing. Look closely at the pictures, it really is that good. The interior is still clean. There have been mats on the carpet. I'm not saying the carpet is perfect, but it isn't worn out. It could probably use some cleaning from many years of use, but its still good. The seats are clean and the dash is perfect. being a Country, it has the woodgrain trim. PWs and PLs work. The arm rests show wear . . that's it. The rear brakes were replaced about 5K ago, the fronts have drilled and slotted rotors. The tires are worn. They have between 2/32 and 3/32 of tread life. They are worn evenly, but are close to the wear bars now. They will need to be replaced soon, not immediately. The worst part of the Jeep is the AC. It had always worked fine. But the compressor clutch bearing got noisy, so I just replaced the entire compressor with a new one. At the same time I replaced the drier which should be replaced whenever the system is opened. But after that, I could not get the AC to come on. I wish I only replaced the clutch now. I did not have it looked at . . so I got to think its an easy fix. You should be able to get the AC going again. But that became the final straw in getting the wife a new vehicle. The oil pressure sending unit wiring harness has a bad wire. The oil gauge goes on and off and its the wire. Wiggle it and the gauges flies up. The oil filter is right under the unit and the wire gets rubbed when getting the filter out. I'm being honest with the vehicle, I want you to like her :)  My wife has mixed emotions now . . . . very sad about the Jeep, but happy with the new car. You are getting a great Jeep. The 4 wheel drive works perfectly. There is a rear hitch as well. The headlights have been upgraded. Bid with total confidence . . you are getting a family cared for car, not something I bought to flip. I have started the bidding at a low no reserve price . . I hope it goes much higher :) I need $500 as a deposit paid within 48 hours via PayPal. The balance can be paid in person via cash or money order only. The vehicle must be picked up within 5 days of the end of the auction. If thi is not acceptable to you, DO NOT bid.
