Vehicle Detail
5-SPEED 2.5GT LTD 250HP TURBO, NO RESERVE Very clean, well-maintained (syth oil only), sporty sedan with Newport Blue Pearl exterior and Taupe interior. Non-smoking owner, no kids or dogs so interior is in excellent condition. 90% of mileage is from highway commuting. Was a fantastic vehicle to own during the insane 2010 blizzard. My 6'6" husband is too tall to comfortably drive this car for long periods and we bought a larger car two months ago which is a better size for us -- so we currently have three cars and only need two. This will be an excellent vehicle for years to come for the new owner. -- FEATURES -- Powerful 2.5L turbo-charged/intercooled 4cyl engine, all-wheel drive, rear spoiler, power glass moonroof, premium sound with XM Satellite Radio, in-dash 6-CD changer and upgraded sub-woofer, dual zone automatic climate control with A/C, power heated leather sport seats, 17 inch alloy wheels (one tire is brand new due to sidewall puncture, others have good tread), SI-DRIVE transmission control with Intelligent, Sport and Sport Sharp (turbo) modes, limited slip rear differential, four wheel disc brakes, ABS, front and side airbags, Cobb Tuning short-throw shifter kit (short throw lever, hardened shifter bushing, and upgraded transmission mount), heated windshield and sideview mirrors, keyless entry, two sets of keys with keyless remotes, a valet key, owner's manual, floor mats and an additional set of all-weather mats included. Minor rear bumper scratches incurred while street-parked. Should be very easy to touch up if buyer chooses to do so. -- HISTORY -- Vehicle history will show "accident involving rear impact" in Baltimore City on 8/4/2009. Here are the details: The Legacy was parked curb-side in front of our townhouse with other cars parked behind and in front. An intoxicated woman in a Lexus RX pulled out from the alley two houses up the street and she swiped the side of a Jetta parked two cars behind mine then hit the rear quarter-panel of the VW Beetle parked directly behind me which caused the Beetle to contact my Subaru. We estimate the speed at less than 5 mph because there was only enough force to move my vehicle forward about 4-inches and ding up the rear bumper. The Legacy wasn't pushed enough to hit the car parked in front of it -- only the rear bumper was affected. The driver left the scene of the accident so the police were called and there is now an accident report involving the Legacy. The total cost was around $500 to fix and repaint the bumper (paperwork is available on request). The last photo posted with the listing is a picture of the damage prior to repair. It was taken with my iPhone so the quality isn't great, but you can see the damage was very minor. -- WARRANTY -- The original manufacturer 5 year/60,000 mile Drivetrain warranty is still in effect. Happy Bidding! On Jul-06-10 at 09:18:42 PDT, seller added the following information: ___________________________________________________________Several people have asked about the rear bumper incident and repair so here is more detailed info. Please send me a message if you have a question I haven't addressed. -- BUMPER REPAIR -- The repair costs totaled $465.06. The work was performed by Bumper Globe of Baltimore in September 2009. The affected area was about 3" x 4" at the bottom center and was caused by the front tag of the VW Beetle parked behind. Please refer to the picture posted with this auction. The police report shows "Incident Type: Hit and Run." The two cars parked behind the Subaru car were hit by the perpetrator -- she didn't hit this car; it was bumped from behind in the chain reaction. It was parked on a residential city street and the woman was pulling out from an alley so she was probably going 10 -15 mph at most when she hit the Jetta two cars behind mine. There wouldn't have been an incident report for this car if I hadn't been there and told the police that I wanted the driver to pay for the damage to my bumper. It wasn't obvious that the bumper had been damaged (except to me because I knew what it looked like when I had parked it) and I had to point out to the officer that the marks on my bumper had been made by the front license plate of the VW Beetle that was behind my car. It looked like the usual scuffs a plastic bumper can get over time while parking in the city. This one includes a short drive in the car.
