2005 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible Here is a very nice Beetle for sale, this Beetle belongs to my 19 year old daughter! Before we go into details about this nice looking Beetle I'll try to give you an exact history discription on this Beetle.This Beetle was on eBay for sale on January 2010 by Eddie Leach, 721 Rd Suite 2,Paragould, AR 72450 item number 140372255501 user id: raysjeepsunlimited. When I called Eddie he was very friendly and told me as advertised on eBay that the car was a theft recovery and this was the reason for a salvage title and the car drives great. Also, I asked him questions such as if the car had any accidents and he said he does not know but It does not look like it. After I asked him why the airbag light was on he said it just needs to be re-set. Ok he sounded like an honest person and I decided to buy the car, but before we closed the auction the seller removed it form eBay and we went on with the sale. BIG MISTAKE!!!!!!! NEVER BUY A CAR WHEN THE SELLER REMOVES IT FROM EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After we received the car the night mare started and we found out that Eddie and his partner where not so nice after all and that they had lied to us since the beginning. The car was not a theft recovery, it was salvaged due to a front collision and the airbag light was on because the passenger airbag was missing and the transmission was bad. This is what we spend on the car so far to make it street worthy: New Transmission $1700 Used Passenger airbag $ 300 New airbag module computer $ 450 Convertible top cover $ 350 New tires front $ 150 New Cup holder $ 50 Wheel alignment $ 120 New thermostat $ 50 New lower water hose $ 100 New remote keys (2) $ 300 Manual $ 50 and more. We have over $10,000 in this Beetle and we sell it for thousands and thousands less. This 2005 Beetle now has a Florida title not salvage or rebuilt title and drives very good after what we did to it.
