I've decided to sell my old Bugeye project car. Last year I bought another one that I can drive and tinker with and have kinda been undecided whether to sell or keep the one I've had for 24 years. But, now it's time for it to go. Over the years I've done some work on it and bought parts for it but just never got it finished. I started the engine a couple years ago and put a video of it on YouTube.com. You can link to the video from my blog or just search for "beachbugeye" on YouTube and you'll find it. The car has very little rust, actually less than the one I bought - but that's another story. When I bought the car it had all of the body bolt on stuff removed but it ran great! I drove it down a back road with the seat not bolted in and no seat belt and it was fast! For the first 10 years or so I started it every few months but then after several company moves and dead batteries I didn't start it again until 2008. After sitting for so long the valve stem seals have dried out and it leaks some oil from the overhead cams down into the cylinders and it smokes for a couple minutes after it starts. After that it clears up and runs pretty good as shown in the video.
