I have spent many hours creating this auction. I am providing over 150 detailed pictures and video clips of this vehicle. UNLIKE most cars here on Ebay, I have big pictures of the engine bay, interior, and even the undercarriage so you KNOW EXACTLY what you are buying. I have tried to provide a detailed picture of every possible square inch of this car. I do not want to waste your time or mine and I want you to know EXACTLY what you are buying with NO surprises. Up for sale is my beautiful, low mile 1998 Pontiac Firebird LS1 Trans Am with some "tasteful performance mods".. I bought this car from a friend of mind earlier this year who desperately needed some money due to loosing his job. This car was his baby. He bought it with 30k original miles in late 2000. It sat in his garage under a car cover and he only drove it a few times a month on nice days. From 2000 to aproximately 2008, he put about 25k miles on it and slowly installed some performance parts on it. He got layed off from work in Spring 2009, and it had about 55k miles. He sold his everyday driver vehicle and decided to drive his pride & joy which was this 98' TA. He put aproximately 15k miles on it.. I have driven it about 1000 miles now, it has 71,xxx original miles. I absolutely LOVE this car as its hard to find them in this condition and I KNOW the history of it. However, I am in the military and will be leaving soon......so I am a motivated seller. I have tried to place a buy it now price for this car that is CHEAPER then any other comparable LS1 T/A that I have seen sell here on Ebay the last few weeks. BUT, I will consider serious offers so submit your offers. I WILL ACCEPT the highest offer the last day of the auction if no one uses the buy it now or makes me an offer that is appealing to me. I have the clean and clear notorized title in hand. This car is ready for a new proud owner of which I hope takes good care of it. The body is laser straight and looks beautiful. This LS1 T/A has an OEM WS6 hood that was taken off of a WS6 parts car. The hood fits nicely, but could use lined up just a little better. The original hood goes with the sale if the buyer wants it. This T/A's body has been professionally lowered with high quality parts. It has Eibach lowering springs. This TA also has some Hotchkis performance parts including subframe connectors, control & torque arms, Pan rod etc. Both doors and the hatch open and close like new. They all have nice & original gaps and everything lines up nicely from the factory. The T-tops pop in and out smoothly and seal with perfection on the factory weatherstripping. Both headlights pop up and down like new. All of the exterior lights including the fog lights, license plate, and marker lights work great. All of the glass including the windshield is also crack free. The original red paint still has a very deep shine and looks like a mirror. The gray ghost flames on both lower doors are high grade decals so they are NOT permenant....but they definitely give this modern muscle some personality. =) It is an absolutely beautiful and cleancut car, but does have a few minute imperfections that I will nitpick in writing as well as clearly point out in the detailed pics below. The paint does have some typical paint chips/scratches from being driven, however they are so minor that you have to actually look for them. I currently have a set of Chrome C5 17s/18s Vette rims wrapped with good treaded 245 tires on this car right now. The pass side rear rim has a few small scratches on the rim. I also have a set of Gray 17s/18s C5 Vette rims in excellent condition wrapped with 235s & 265s that I can put on this car if the buyer wanted them instead for the SAME price. Either set of these wheels are an option to the buyer. I WILL ALSO offer the Original chrome 16" rims wrapped with decent treaded tires on this T/A for $500 less then the buy it now price! I have pictures below of each set of wheels to show what the car looks like. However, I am always willing to listen to an offer on your choice of wheels etc..... Also, as seen in the pics in my garage, all of the OE parts(except original exhaust) go with the sale if the buyer wants them. And as stated above, the WS6 hood could use adjusted a bit more..The pass headlight "BARELY" rubs when flipping up. Also, one of the aftermarket high performance suspension bars on the pass rear side makes a quiet "click" sound when hitting a bump sometimes. Overall, the body of this car is absolutely beautiful. It is not 100% perfect, but it is very, very nice compared to most last generation LS1 Trans Ams that I see driving around. With all of the performance add-ons, this car handles beautifully! Almost no body roll when going around curves. The overall stance of this T/A is also gorgous due to the Eibach lowering kit! Ill let the detailed pictures of the body do the rest of the talking below....but please keep scrolling down to see pictures and video clips of the engine bay and interior. This 1998 Pontiac T/A has a V8 LS1 350 Engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission. This car has a few "tasteful performance mods". It has a Superchip, K&N Ram Air cold air kit, 85MM Mass air sensor, 80MM throttle body, 10.8MM sparkplug wires, underdrive pulleys, Hooker long tube headers, full 3" true dual exhaust with mufflers and a 373 Gear...etc. The engine bay also has an Edelbrock engine strut brace. The computer was professionally tuned to match these performance parts. I remember in aproximately 2006, my friend tested this car at the dragstrip 1 time. He knows nothing about drag racing and ran this TA with regular street tires. It was comical watching him as he spun badly at takeoff and ran a 12.99. With this said, this car is very fast and very fun! The engine holds perfect oil psi(above 40), and the transmission shifts into every gear flawlessly. There is no wierd or abnormal mechanical sounds throughout the entire drivetrane. I personally would drive this car absolutely anywhere right now. It runs, shifts, drives, sounds, and handles beautifully! The ONLY thing I can nitpick here is that the O2 sensors are installed in the hooker headers which sets off a slight difference in the voltage reading of the O2 sensors monitor in the computer.....which keeps the "check engine" light on in the dash.....This does NOT affect the driveability of it. Please view all the pics below, and scroll down to the interior category. This low mile LS1 T/A has a gray leather interior. The interior is very clean throughout. The dash, door panels, center console, seats, carpet, headliner, etc...is nice looking. All of the interior lights work good. This car is loaded with power mirrors, locks, and seats. It also has tilt wheel with steering wheel stereo controls. The stereo works great and plays clear. It has a set of 6x9' speakers in the rear hatch area. All of the gauges work accurately. This car runs extremely cool, even on 90degree+ days!! The heat blows hot, and the A/C works good & blows cold! The power locks and mirrors work great. This T/A has an aftermarket billet shift knob. The pass window rolls up & down smoothly. I will try to nitpick the interior..... The drivers window motor is going out and you have to help it up/down.....BUT I have a new window motor(as pictured) in box for this car that needs installed which goes with the sale. Overall, the interior is pretty cleancut and nice looking. This low mile LS1 powered 1998 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is an absolutely beautiful car. It is a lot of fun to cruise around, especially with the T-tops out on a sunny day. Pontiac does NOT make these cars anymore and this is the LAST generation that they did make. This Trans Am is not perfect, but it is overall a beautiful modern muscle car that someone should be able to enjoy for many years to come!
