Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE This auction is for a 2003 Volkswagen New Beetle TDI. The color is Sundown Orange which is the rarest color for the New Beetles. It has a manual 5-speed transmission which shifts like new and delivers 49 mpg which is much better than the automatic transmission. The engine is strong and it has not given me any trouble at all. It has proven to be 100% reliable, no issues at all! It has been well cared for with all oil changes performed on time and importantly, the oil has been the appropriate rated synthetic oil. New breaks and Michelin tires were put on about 10 thousand miles ago. The car has never been in an accident and has never had any bodywork. There are a few very small stone chips but there are no dents on the car. There are a few scrapes on the wheels. There are a couple small superficial scratches on the dash board. The car was always parked away from other cars, no door dings. A low profile trailer hitch is installed on this car as well as the appropriate wiring for trailer lights. The hitch receiver stores neatly inside the rear bumper. I have pulled trailers with this car and it tows beautifully. It easily maintains 75 mph while towing on the highway and still delivers over 35 mpg!!! The A/C blows cold. The factory radio has been replaced (only had a cassette). The original radio was the Monsoon sound system so the speakers are excellent. The radio is a Sony with CD player and Bluetooth hookup for your cell phone. There are approximately 85.5k miles on the odometer but I am still driving the car so there may be a few hundred more before the auction is over. VW Tdi’s routinely deliver over 200k miles so there is probably another 10 years of life left on this car! My only reason for selling this car is that I need a larger car. The title is clear. The terms for sale are $500 non-refundable deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of the close of the auction. The balance is to be paid by cashier’s check or wire transfer within 7 days of the close of the auction. The check will be verified for authenticity at my bank during banking hours (M-F) prior to my releasing the car or the title. If you are shipping the car, I will make every effort to work with the shipper. This is a great car; I would sell it to a family member or neighbor without hesitation. Someone will be very lucky when they win this auction.
