For sale is a very reliable and dependable 1990 Jaguar XJS Convertible. It was converted over to a complete Chevrolet V8 drive-line 8 years ago. The engine and transmission were both new then and now have 60K miles now. All the engine components and accessories are GM. The engine is a 350 cubic inch V8 and the transmission is a 700R4 overdrive, and an upgraded cooling system. The car has many options including power top, windows, locks. brakes. steering, cruise control, XM satilite radio.. Ice cold air conditioning, 4 wheel independent suspension, and 4 wheel disk brakes. The leather seats are in good shape and have been covered and preserved with sheepskins for many years. There is a little wear on the drivers side entry area. The car has 116k miles on it and should have many, many more left. It came from California originally and I drove it home from Las Vegas. This car has no rust nor has it EVER seen a snow flake. It has been a very fun and exciting car for me but its time to move into a truck. The top was replaced 3 years ago and is in very good shape. The headliner was not replaced at the same time and shows wear. The car has the original parade boot, and full size spare and owners manual. The original owner showed me receipts for nearly 30 thousand dollars of labor and parts for the years he owned it, most of which were for the conversion, and the complete rebuild of the suspension and the rear axle. This conversion was done professionally by one of the shops in California that specialize in Jaguars with Chevrolet drive-train. It has dual exhaust and sounds and drives like what you would expect from a British sports car with American Muscle under the hood This car is old enough for Classic plates and Insurance. I would not hesitate in driving this car across the country, as I did when I first purchased it. The tires are premium Michelin's and are like new.
