Why spend $30,000 when you can enjoy the same looks for half the cost! First things first. THIS CAR IS TITLED AND STARTED LIFE AS A 1969 FIREBIRD CONVERTIBLE. It is a nice driver and not a show car. If you are expecting a show car do not bid. You can jump in this car and drive it anywhere. Reasons for selling is, I have another 69 Camaro I planed to sell to pay for this car. Well I have owned that car for 18 years and it was also my first car so I just don’t have the heart to sell it. I know if I did I would regret it for the rest of my life. That being said I’m not hard up for cash so please don’t waste my time or yours with lowball offers. The reserve is set very reasonable. Exterior: Car was converted to 1969 Camaro body around 7 years ago. It’s a fun car to drive and gets lots of looks. Every piece on the outside of this car is 69 Camaro, body panels, chrome, lights and badges. No one in the world can tell this is not a 1969 Camaro from the outside. Paint job was done 7 years ago and has no rust. Paint is wavy in some areas see pictures but ok at 10 foot. All chrome is very good condition. All windows are good and work. Top is very good and back glass is near perfect. Car had new floors and trunk pans put in when the body was changed. They are in good condition. Interior: Car has new carpet, seat covers and recent top installed. The door panels and dash are original Firebird. Dash is good for driver but door panels need to be replaced. Camaro door panels will bolt straight on with no modification needed. Top of dash metal were it meets the windshield has rust like every convertible I’ve ever seen. Motor: Car has a Big block chevy 396 motor installed. Motor has less than 2000 miles on it and runs great. The block is 396 with 454 heads for lower compression. It runs great on pump gas. It has headers, holley carb and electronic ignition. Transmission: 400 turbo works great and shifts great. Needs pan gasket leaking a little. Suspensions: Power disc brakes on front drums on rear. 10 bolt chevy rear Power top: top motor was rebuilt and works. The cylinders are leaking a little. Wheels and Tires have plenty of tread. Fronts are a little large and rub every now and then. Rears are old. Wheels are Weld Draglites. I’ve tried to list everything I can think of about the car but may have missed something. Please remember this is a 40 year old car and not new. It’s a good driver and half the cost of a 1969 Camaro. I will be happy to help with shipping but you will need to plan and pay for it of course. Car will not leave until paid in full. I have a clear NC title for the car in hand. I can store car as long as needed as long as it is paid in full.
