`up for auction is my 1954 dodge 1/2 ton job rated pickup. I bought this truck in wyoming a couple of years ago with hopes of restoring it, but economy says otherwise. It has a v/8 engine 4 speed transmission. The engine has to be primed to start as carb bleeds off when it sits. It then starts right up and runs strong with no smoke. The person I bought it from said it had a recent overhaul with a new special made cam that cost $1300. I drove it recently for five miles on our county road. It drove out fine with no transmission or differential noises. Thje clutch worked good as all gears. Steering is tight and brakes work and have a full pedal. Wipers-horn-heater-turnsignals-and lights all work. It has an after market fuel tank but the fuel gage is not hooked up. It has excellant oil pressure. I installed a new 8 volt interstate battery in, a new floor mat , a new seat cover. when I drove it I only ran it to 40 mph because of road conditions but feel it will run at any legal road speed with no problem. Headlight ring on left side is missing, windshield, rear window and right side vent window are all cracked. All windows and vents open good- doors close tight with no rattles. The exhaust sounds like muffler will need replaced. Minor dents with nouthing serious. Some surface rust but no rust throughs. Fancy rims with fair tires. Happy bidding to you.
