Vehicle Detail

This is a very nice '63 Corvair convertible. 6 cylinder, 4 speed runs and drives excellent. The car is mechanically sound: engine, transmission, steering, brakes, tires, lights, etc.. The body, trunk, and underbody are in good condition. It's been repainted within the past 10 years and still looks and shines well, but isn't perfect. The manual convertible top is in good condition and very easy to operate. The doors open & close properly. There are a couple of minor scratches on the windshield from worn wiper blades that could possibly be buffed out. It could use some new door weatherstripping. It has the original AM radio that works. The interior is in excellent condition. It appears that the seats have been re-done in recent years with newer OEM type of vinyl, and has a newer vinyl boot cover for the conv't top. I have personally inspected and driven this car and it's in good mechanical condition. Very clean and solid daily driver that is ready for some fun in the sun. A $500 deposit is due within 48 hours of auction ending through Pay Pal or over-night mail in the form of a Bank money order or cashier's check. Balance is due within 10 days of auction ending in the form of a Bank money order or cashier's check, or cash in person. All funds must clear my bank before the car is released. The car must be picked up within 14 days. Please e-mail with any questions before bidding. I may cancel bids from bidders with 0 or negative feedback. Thank youOn Jun-18-10 at 07:13:43 PDT, seller added the following information: Additional Details: I was looking back through some of the paperwork I received when I purchased the car last Summer and the prior owner had a list of things that were done to the car in 2005: In 2005: *All New Gaskets installed in engine *Rebuilt Rearend *Rebuilt Transmission with new clutch & pressure plate *All New U-Joints *New Shocks on the rear *New Gas Tank Sending Unit *Complete Brake Inspection *New Front Chrome Bumper *New Boot for conv't top I would like to keep this car but my schedule doesn't allow me much time to drive it very much. I've only put about 100 miles on it since last June. It's a lot of fun to drive and nice enough to take to your local car shows or cruise nights.
