Vehicle Detail
Are you sick of driving a "me-too" vehicle?Tired of confusing your car with another exactly like it in the parking lot?Do you like classic high-end vehicles? Does the rain, sleet or snow scare you from driving your Ferrari, Pantera, or De Tomaso Deauville (all designed by Tom Tjaarda - who also designed this Laforza)? You can be the only guy on your block, in your town, at your country club and maybe even in your state to own one of these unique, reliable and prestigious SUVs. HISTORY: The Laforza is a rare luxury SUV built in Italy, originally manufactured as a para-military vehicle for the Italian Army, the body was re-designed and they were brought over to the USA without an engine or transmission, then the workhorse Ford 5.0 L engine and trans were added. For safety, Laforza offers a heavy gauge steel body, a rugged ladder frame, European touring sedan handling, and the most technologically advanced four-wheel drive. Laforza handles hazardous weather and road conditions that would keep other luxury automobiles shivering in their heated garage. What really distinguishes Laforza from all other luxury automobiles and justifies its price is versatility....Laforza is equally at home en route to the opera or off on a shopping spree along the interstates or beyond where the pavement ends. Here are the individual features and specifications of this particular Laforza Prima: POWER ASSISTS: Six way Power front seatsPower windowsPower sliding/tilting moon roofPower door locksDual power-operated sideview mirrorsRemote operated locking system (with remote start button) POWERTRAIN: Electronically fuel injected 5.0 liter V8 manufactured by Ford Motor CompanyElectronic four-speed automatic transmission with high-efficiency overdrive Full time All Wheel Drive STEERING & BRAKING: Power-assisted rack-and-pinion steeringPower-assisted vented front disc and rear drum brakes CHASSIS & SUSPENSION: Box-ladder constructed steel frameHeavy duty independent front suspension, with double wishbone, torsion bar designFull floating beam axle rear suspension with proportional leaf springsHigh-pressure gas charged shock absorbers TECHNOLOGY UPGRADES: State-of-the-art CD/DVD/iPOD Sound System, with pop-out LCD screen 4 high-end component speakers (door mounted) Pair of LCD viewing screens (mounted into driver and passenger headrests)Three wireless headphones (enables driver to enjoy stereo while kids watch DVD in back seat) Alpine amplifier (generates a full, rich, concert hall-like sound) XM Radio with XM Navigation/GPS (real-time traffic and DVD maps) Motorola's Integrated Bluetooth Handsfree Mobile Phone system (iPhone, 3G, and 3GS compatible) AC/DC plug adapter (directly plug a charger for a cell phone, electronic game, etc. -- no need to awkwardly dangle cords from the cigarette lighter) Integrated rear-mounted camera (to help avoid running over bikes and other toys left in the driveway) CONVENIENCE: Intermittent windshield wipersRear window defoggerRear window washer/wiperPouches on front doors and front seat backsHeated seat DOCUMENTATION: Certificate of TitleMaintenance Log (worksheet with the date and description of service performed) Receipts for Service (over $19,000 invested in servicing, updating and pampering the vehicle) Receipts for Enhancement (over $7,000 invested in enhancements - stereo, etc.) Laforza shop manual (1989-1991) Owners manuals for technology enhancements (stereo, handsfree, etc.) PARTS & SERVICE: One of the greatest features about this vehicle is that you can get parts without being fluent in Italian. There is a very well known and respected Laforza mechanic, parts supplier and most importantly ENTHUSIAST, Mark Zuelke who owns and operates LaforzaMZ. He carries almost any Laforza part you could possibly need. This particular Laforza has exclusively supplied it's parts from LaforzaMZ and so will my next Laforza Magnum! WHY SELLING? If you talk to any Laforza owner they will tell you that this car is absolutely addictive. This is now my second Laforza after owning a mid-year Corvette, Porsche 911, BMX X5, Mercedes ML500, and Porsche Cayenne and I can honestly tell you this Prima has turned the most heads, generated the most stop light inquiries, and caused the most parking lot conversations than ANY of my prior vehicles. It has easily been the most fun to own and drive as well. I purchased this particular Laforza Prima in Northern California after my indoctrination with an early year Laforza - where I learned the ropes of Laforza ownership. I needed a reliable vehicle that could haul lots of Soccer Dad items - I have three young children that need to be carted to all of their various baseball, soccer and violin practices. This vehicle has handled hundred of practices, games and weekend Costco runs admirably - without a single hiccup in 5 years of ownership. Laforza made an even higher-end version called the Laforza Magnum - which is why I am selling this vehicle to ultimately upgrade to my THIRD generation Laforza.
