After having the heater core replaced by a shade-tree back around January 3, 2010, I drove it till around February 2, 2010 with no problem. Until on that day while driving I noticed some smoke seeping from dash, and the radio making a staticky noise. I stopped at the pharmacy, then cranked it back up and drove about a mile until I pulled into an Advanced Auto Parts Store in Quitman Mississippi, and hollered at a parts man to get me a fire extinguisher. He then shot the powder into the bottom of the dash, as another one disconnected the battery cable to stop the truck from trying to crank itself back up. I then had it towed home on a flat tow truck. Since then I have called and looked and asked around for an ENTIRE FORD BLUE DASH AND INTERIOR WIRING HARNESS WITH NO LUCK. I have since bought another vehicle, and figure that before I find one, it might be a while. So I figure I might be better off finding someone whom might want this truck as a project. The truck is still too nice looking of a truck, and runs great with good tires and air, and good transmission and all to junk. It basicily needs an entire ford blue dash, interior wiring harness, a little front carpet on bottom of dash. and the seats had covers on them due to a little wear. but the inside is still dusty from the fire extinguisher powder still all over them. I'm even leaving the tool box on the back.
