I have owned this beautiful 1966 Corvette roadster since 1987. I decided to clean some of the Texas clay out of the frame a few years ago and before I knew it, I was removing the body for a complete restoration. With the help of an active NCRS mid-year judge, I began to put the car back together starting with the blasted and freshly painted chassis. All mechanical components and associated hardware were either sent off for remanufacturing or replaced with new. The body had no evidence of damage or repairs, and recieved fresh gelcoat and paint. Original paint was still on the car but it had a coat of blue over the white. Ermine white exterior with blue and white interior, including head rest seats. Chrome parts were either replated or replaced and all stainless steel was buffed and polished. Al Knock installed the new OEM type soft top and supplied the other interior components. Hardtop has been beautifully restored as well and is currently stored in a protective pouch. I have a complete set of 5.5" steel wheels, tires and hubcaps as well as the set of chrome bolt-on knock offs that are on the car. All numbers, build dates and part numbers match right down to the Holley Carburetor. The 427 ci 390 hp big block is fresh at .010" over on bores. Transmission was rebuilt as well and shifts like new. T-arms, rear end, brakes, rotors, steering box, steering column, etc. all remanufactured. Don Pirkle took care of alternator and voltage regulator and battery is a tar-top replica gel cell. Even the factory electric antenna is restored to OEM specifications. This car is ready for show or for special drives in the moonlight. I have the car listed for sale locally so I reserve the right to end this auction early if it sells. Selling to make room for a new Grand Sport. I will assist with shipping as much as possible.
