1962 Oldsmobile Starfire 2 door coupe Barn Find This car was just pulled from a barn last week at an estate liquidation. Prior to that, it was there since 1983. Car was washed and cleaned inside. Amazingly the interior of the car is in fantastic condition. Car has original leather bucket seats with center console. Everything on the inside is in great shape except the head liner. All trim is good shape with no pitting. Everything works inside including radio and power antenna. All lights work and windows go up and down better than most new cars. As for the outside of the car, there is rust in all the typical spots. Bumpers will need to be replaced. Quarters have rust. One spot on frame by rear drivers side wheel has hole. Floors and trunk of car are very solid with undercoating still intact. All trim including grill is in very good condition and can be easily buffed. Under the hood is the original 394 with 345 hp high compression engine. I did not try to start car yet but motor hand turns easily. This car deserves to be saved as the value of them is very high and rising. NADA has the low end value at $17k? If you know how to to restore the body/metal parts of this car then it is a good project to take on as the interior needs close to nothing and motor appears to be only in need of a tune-up and detailing.
