I am listing this 2001 Jetta that i purchased from my uncle a month ago. The car needed a head gasket and he wanted to gift it to his mechanic. I offered him $1000.00 for it thinking that i would fix it and use it as my daily driver. I took the car to my mechanic who advised me that the car needed a new head plus a head gasket plus a radiator fun plus a water pump plus, plus, plus......... $1700.00 later i drove the car home and everything seemed fine. A few days ago, i decided to clean the exterior, interior and engine. After doing so i took the car for a drive and realized that the transfer case that was working fine before the washing, was not shifting properly. At this point, i have $2700.00 into this car and i don't have more money to spend on it. i don't know if the car needs a transfer case rebuilt or a simple module. One of my friends at work told me that when the modules get wet they short out and maybe this is what hapened to my Jetta. Anyways...... I am listing this car at NO RESERVE and hopefuly someone can pick it up and make it right. The car drives but needs some help with the shifting sittuation.
