Up for auction is this rare original black with burgundy interior "64"Lincoln Continental Convertible. This is the most desirable year and color combination made of "Suicide Door Series"! As you can see this car is a stunner and has been slightly lowered on 22" three piece Assanti wheels (wheels alone were over $7k). It has had extensive mechanical work over the last several years: 1.the electrical mechanical top has been gone through by John C. Cashman, who is famous for top operations on Lincoln's, and it works perfectly . 2. Transmission was rebuilt in 2001 and has only been driven for 5k miles since then.3. Engine was rebuilt, balanced and blue printed in 2004. 4. New front end and brakes were installed and gone through.. I have well over $20k in receipts for reconditioning done on this car within the last 5k miles. Let me be clear this is not a SHOW car! Paint has minor imperfections with some bubbling on lower sections of the car, that I assume to be rust; also car is equipped with air conditioning but is not in working condition at this time but all other mechanical and electrical items do.
