I am the second owner of this maple yellow 1978 Mercedes 300SD. It was my daily driver until the transmission started to slip badly a few months ago. It now needs a couple of minutes warm-up time before any gear will engage. The engine is still running strong but it does not shut down even when turning it off with the key. I had to disconnect the fuel line to turn off the engine. Because of the needed repairs the car is sold AS IS. It could also be used as a parts car. The transmission will shift, but only after waiting at least 15 minutes with the engine runningRelatively high mileage. The odometer shows 213,371. I believe that is the correct mileage but cannot verify Not the original paint. The first owner had the car repainted (with the original maple yellow color).
