Vehicle Detail

**I had this up last week. I'm gonna run it one more time and I dropped the price to 1250.00. If that doesn't work, then Rich....... looks like you get another Rover to play with............ I will not part out. I know several of you would like to have parts, and I could probably make lots of money parting the darn thing out. But she's a solid car, no holes, little rust, and very happy being all together. Thanks for all the interest guys~and gals~ Mel I have a 1970 Rover 3500S for sale. It is all original gray exterior and tan seats. This car had only one owner before me and had it shipped from England in 1970. (the paperwork was still in the glovebox) I wanted to fix it up for my daughter to drive, but she got sick, and won't ever be able to drive it. It's a perfect car for restoration, everything is there and it RUNS! I've already put new tires, muffler and over 3,000 dollars into the engine. It has 95,973 thousand original miles on the 350 engine. It's not that pretty but with a little TLC it's gonna be a beautiful car someday. It is also a very rare car. I'm not sure how long they sold these in America but it wasn't very long. The British used these cars for their police vehicles in England. You can find lots of info on them on many UK websites, but not much around here. Feel Free to ask me any questions, I will answer them as best I can. I know it has duel Lucas carburators that have been rebuilt. The engine size is 350, well it's really a 3.5 liter Buick aluminum block. It runs, but not great. I did drive it home from the mechanic and that's a one hour drive, about 60 miles and she ran great. The worry I have while driving is that she seems to want to die at stop signs sometimes. I don't like that at all. And I don't have the money to sink into either. It's an automatic on the floor and has tan leather seats. There are no rips or tears in the seats. The rear defrost works, but needs to be replaced. It has a straight body except for one little bondo job on the driver side tail light. And I have an extra tail light for it, so it can be fixed. I also have several original parts that came with the car. The electric windows still work and so does the Radio. (AM only). Shipping would be up to the buyer. You would have to figure out how to get it from here to there. I really hope that someone who loves and admires vintage vehicles from other countries, would take her and fix her up nice. My daughter always called it her "Harry Potter" car, because it reminded her of the Ford Angelina, used in the movie. Well, thanks for looking, ~~ Melinda Okay, So I was digging around in the boxes that came with the car. I've got parts for this car. I have three bumpers (two front, one rear) extra hubcaps, taillights, altenator, two carbs, radiatior, and some other misc. parts, including some NOS stuff. Not even sure what is all is. Just wanted to let everybody know about it. UPDATE*** New pictures!!!! this AWESOME person Ed, emailed me with more info than even I had. I was so excited to learn that when I said RARE, I didn't think that RARE!! But disappointed that it will cost so much to COMPLETELY RESTORE IT. I hope someone does. I want to see this baby back on the road!!!!! Thanks for the info Ed! ****FYI: IF the engine is ;original to the car; it is a 215cu.in. (3.5 litre) Buick aluminum block V8 w/2 "S.U." carbs The trans is a "Borg-Warner 3-spd.Imported for 1yr to U.S (3500S model) Approx. 2100 were imported. VERY FEW left. 15 yrs ago there were perhaps a little over 400 accounted for. I've had mine for 35yrs. Even in England parts (NOS)are hard to come by and VERY expensive As it sits you can count on a MINIMUM of $15K-20K for a full restoration. But they are really amazing cars. (except for the trans...it's a dog) I converted mine. I - ek1500
