You are bidding on: 1996 Lincoln Town Car, Signature Series, NO RESERVE Interior and Exterior Color: Blue Introduction: This car has been owned by my mother since it was new. She treated the car very well and used it lightly. The car has been serviced by George Wall Lincoln of Shrewsbury, NJ. I am fairly certain that a Ford or Lincoln Dealer could provide you with service records. My parents spared no expense at the dealer. With the exception of a rear air ride conversion kit that was performed by a former employee and friend of mine at his personal shop (discussed below), all service, including regular oil changes, were performed by the dealer. My parents were friends with the service manager and he took good care of them and the car. The car is located in Red Bank, NJ 07701. I try to be very specific, honest, and conservative, which is why I have 100% feedback. Features: Viper Remote Start, Keyless Entry, Leather, Power Seats, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Trunk (you can open with the remote and don't have to slam it), Cruise Control, Steering Wheel Controls Overall Condition: The car is in excellent mechanical condition. The engine is very quiet and it runs beautifully. It accelerates very quickly and very smoothly. The cruises and passes impressively. The brakes are great and the ride is very smooth. It really is the ultimate highway car and perfect for long trips. Overall the finish is in good to very good condition (light scratches, etc.). I would rate the exterior of the car good to very good. In preparation for sale, I detailed the car and had my friend do a light polish and wax the exterior. There are light scratches on the paint and some relatively minor chips and scratches which I will detail below. I would rate the interior in very good condition. I would rate the leather in excellent condition throughout. It is still plush and glossy with no cracking or peeling. The carpet is in good condition. Specific Condition and Notes: Leather: Excellent Dash: Very good to excellent Carpet: Overall Excellent. There is one spot on the front floor where my mom had a cell phone mount that was removed. There is still a minor impression. There are a couple of spots (maybe spilled coffee) that I presume could be cleaned. Headliner: Excellent Finish: Good to very good. There are some light scratches and chips on the paint. Most of the scratches look like they could be compounded out. There are no dents (besides tiny ones that are barely perceptible). The front passenger side chrome around the headlight is peeling. Some of the chrome on other parts of the car has light pitting on it. The rear bumper has evident paint oxidation as pictured. There are some scratches on the sides and back of the rear bumper. They are relatively minor, but you can see a bit of yellow primer through a couple of them. There is no rust evident on the body or panels of the car. Heated mirror (driver side): I am fairly certain that this works. It has been hot here recently, so the mirror is generally pretty warm. Auto adjusting mirror: Works well Auto headlights: Work well Keypad: The keypad numbers are worn from use, but you can still read the numbers and it works well. All lights and displays: Work well Interior notes: There is one missing "dress"' cap on the driver side door (for one side of pull handle) and one missing on the passenger side also. The door ashtrays in the back stay open (they may be missing a spring). There is part of a cell phone antenna mounted in the rear window, but the exterior portion of the antenna has been removed. The very tip of the power seat joystick on the front passenger side has broken off. Otherwise, the joystick and power seats run great. The buttons on the steering wheel are a little faded from use but otherwise work well. Controls: All controls are checked and run well with the following exceptions. The climate control works, but the low speed on the fan does not. Mats: 4 mats are included and in good condition Rear Air Ride: The rear air ride was recently replaced with a spring/strut conversion kit. The conversion has a lifetime warranty. The air ride system is very expensive to maintain and (when it fails), you will be in big trouble. The car is much better, safer, and reliable without the air ride system. The car still rides perfectly. While the air ride system has been removed/disabled, the interior warning light "AIR RIDE SUSPENSION" is illuminated. I belive that you can reset this with an OBD connector or otherwise override it. Tires: Excellent condition, Michelin Symmetry, good tread, full size spare in trunk included with jack. Inspection: The car passed NJ MVC inspection on 1/6/09. The current inspection is good through 12/21/2010. Rear passenger side taillight: slight crack (not very noticeable) Trunk: Very clean and barely used Included in Sale: 2 viper remotes (doors and remote start), 2 lincoln remotes, 2 keys, 1 valet key, manual with master keyless code, etc. No warranty: The car is sold as is and where is.
