Vehicle Detail
I bought the car in 1997 with 97,500mi on it and now the odometer reads 109,xxx total miles. The only drive train parts not replaced under my ownership are the rear end and drive shaft. Everything else is new or rebuilt. Always been garaged and never even been rained on. This MGB is a rock solid daily driver that drives like new. Starts quick, idles perfect, and doesn’t have a single oil leak. Steers tight and straight without even a hint of a shim at 80mph+ with new steering box and entire front end including Spax Shock System. Starts every spring without even having to charge the battery by using battery cut off lever mounted behind seats. What this car needs is someone to drive and enjoy it and either now or in the future take it to the next level with the body work needed and give the old girl the same justice I gave everything underneath the sheet medal. The bad: The body was painted red over tan by previous owner but I did repainted the engine compartment red during motor swap. Body has a few dings, scuffs, and scratches but nothing that detracts from the beauty of the car too much. Slight rust on both rockers and front and rear valances need work or replacement. Interior was also refreshed by previous owner but not of high quality and is showing its wear. Needs door seals. Currently has cheap plastic cover over cracked dash. Tried to show the bad in the photos. Last negative is no room for spare tire because of the audio modifications to trunk. Brakes work fine but I had not upgraded them yet to match the rest of the mechanics. British Built 2000cc Engine Blueprinted, and Balanced 130hp approx 7k mile on it Weber Outlaw Kit DCOE side draft with twin 38mm barrels that are synchronous with automatic choke Peco Big Bore Exhaust System – Header to Tailpipe. And may be driven or inspected before bidding. I have been very straight forward of conditions. Questions are encouraged and I will answer at the best of my ability and promptly. I expect $500.00 within 24hrs after auctions close via PayPal with balance paid within 7 days in person with cash or via bank check after it clears if being transported by 3rd party. I would feel confident of a long distance drive home for new owner or I can help load or meet auto hauler on freeway if needed.
