For sale - 1978 Honda goldwing GL1000. Bike has been in storage for seven years. Odometer shows 25,413 miles. Has Vetter Vindicator fairing, trunk, and cycle sound. I have had the engine started, however the bike was stored with fuel in the system, so it doesn't run very well. Here is what the bike needs as far as I know: 1. Carbs and fuel tank cleaned. 2. Clutch cable. 3. Front and rear brakes gone through because of the storage. 4. Battery. The charging system works, gauges work, starter works. Compression was checked. Engine appears sound. The chrome is rusty on some pieces. The rear tire doesn't look to have very many miles on it. This is a project bike. It would be a good base for a naked bike, custom, or parts. I am not the original owner. I picked this up as a project, but I have too many projects already. The bike does have a clear title, however, the last time it was tagged was 2002.
