Vehicle Detail

This is a LOT of TWO VW Rabbits. One 1981 Diesel Rabbit (VIN 1VWCG9178BV034487) One 1982 Gas Rabbit (VIN WVWCA0150CK001405) These are PROJECT cars. Neither of them are in running condition but one of them has over $2,000.00 worth of new parts installed! This started out as a project to restore a 1981 diesel rabbit that was running at the time. I had the engine rebuilt, had a transmission shop go through and refresh the transmission, and completely replaced EVERYTHING underneath including all new suspension, steering and brake systems. I also acquired a 1982 convertible Rabbit to be used for parts or maybe convert that to diesel. Then I proceeded to start stripping down the body of the 1981. Some time later I learned there is some kind of problem with the diesel engine. It does not run right and appears there may be an internal problem of some type. Upon discovery of this problem I started to lose interest in this project and eventually moved it out to the back yard and basically abandoned that project. The 1982 convertible was a running car but I did have to steal an oil filter part so it can't be run right now. And the dashboard was uninstalled because I was going to use that in the diesel Just like with the diesel, the convertible is complete, it has just had allot of dis assembly of the interior. My failure to complete this project can now be your benefit. Both of these cars are basically complete. They are just all torn apart and ready to be restored. Here are ALL the photos I have for these two cars: high resolution photos The 1981 diesel rabbit has the following new parts installed or waiting to be installed: Rebuilt Engine with new injectors (needs diagnosis and repair), refreshed Transmission, Clutch, Clutch cable, Radiator, Expansion tank, Starter, Hoses, Blower, Heater core, Tail lights, Struts, Shocks, Brakes, Brake hoses, Brake Booster, Master Cylinder, Wheel Cylinders, Calipers, Shift linkages, Rack & Pinion assembly, Drums, front and rear Wheel Bearings, Ball joints, Tie rods, Both axles, Bentley Service manual, Injection pump testing on a flow bench, and lots more of that little stuff I am probably over-looking such as the door handles with new keys, light switches, Paint and paint supplies, Some parts receipts, etc. These project cars just need to go to another place where somebody can use them or they will go to the crusher. Feel free to call me if you have any questions- 303-809-4229 Both of these cars have decent tires and are easy to move around. And the bodies on both of these cars are in pretty good shape for their age. The only rust I found on the diesel was around the battery tray and the hinges on the rear hatch. The under coating is still completely intact and I suspect these cars have always been in dry Colorado. I have clear titles, cash on delivery, and buyer must pick up in Byers, CO. You will need a tow truck or a trailer. Good luck bidding and have a nice day. :)On May-24-10 at 18:34:05 PDT, seller added the following information: Just a comment regarding the title discrepancy about the odometer readings: On May-30-10 at 09:59:20 PDT, seller added the following information: All the door, side, and back glass for the 1981 diesel is there including the rear hatch door and all the rubber seals. It's all laying in the back under some of the other parts. But it will need a new windshield. And I would recommend securing all that glass before towing so it doesn't break. Aside from typical small missing parts such as trim and door panel retainer clips that tend to break, or a missing oil filter nipple, both these cars are pretty much complete. There are even extras such as two extra radiators, extra radiator fan, two diesel injection pump cores, the old front drive axles, rear brake drum, extra alternator, extra AC compressor, etc. It's all just extra stuff acquired during the initial project. Hope that helps, thank you for your interest, and good luck bidding.
