Up for consideration is a beautiful 1990 Jaguar XJS convertible. Vehicle has just been removed from 5 years of storage. That being said the vechile is being offered as is, for restoration. About 5 years ago the rack developed sudden and serious leak. The fluid just pours out as fast as you put it in. Since then the car has been parked in a climate controlled garage. However in this garage there were lots of kids and bikes so there are a number of dings and scratches in the body mostly in the driver quarter and a ding in the hood near the emblem. There is no rust on the body. Car still looks nice from 5 ft. I parked this car with the intention of making the repairs but it has been 5 years and I still have not had time. Last week I installed a new battery and fired her up. I must say I did not think the car would start but after several cranks she came to life. I drove up the street after a while to air up the tires wich have only 3 k miles and are not dry rotted. The 12 cylinder engine still runs smooth and strong even with 5 year old gas. Transmission shifts in to all gears . Power top works well but the top has rip as pictured. Interior is very decent but the drivers seat outer bolster has a split and the center console wood is splitting (replacement here on ebay cheap) . Also noticed the trunk latch is sticking but the trunk stays shut. Car has a great sound system with ADS speakers and a punch amplifier. This Jag still is one of the sexiest cars I have ever seen. Photographs were taken 5-13-2010 I have a stack of service receipts ! Again vehicle has not been driven in 5 years. It will need work. However after the rack is done you can drive and enjoy the car while you restore ! Please look at the photos it really is a very pretty car ! Don't forget, this is a no reserve auction .
