Vehicle Detail

This is a 1963 (Ford Fairlane 500) 4 Door As far as I know, according to the title, an all Original Car ( matching numbers i.e.. number on title to number on car body); Except for a later model 3 speed automatic transmission. As far as my research goes, 1963 was the very first year Ford put a 289 in their vehicles. Car has a 289 cu in motor. It is a (5 bolt) and it either has 9:1 or 10:1 pistons, The cam is solid lifter. The heads, as far as I can find out are the same valves and same compression as the HI PO, they do not have the spring seats. This is a Barn find, a 2-Owner car and a Very solid Car. I have the Original Title from the 2nd Owner dated 1970, please see pics. I have put “Like new” tires on the Car in 14” wheels The wheel Covers shown in some of the Pics do not go with the Car….. I have 3 Original wheels and 2 original hub caps I have striped the car so you can see the floor boards… They are all in good condition except the drivers side in the front, the floor pan is rusted through, but should be a fairly easy fix. The rest of the floors and the trunk, as you can see, are in fairly good condition. The windows on the passenger-side and the back-window, the tail-lights – all were destroyed by neighborhood youth. I started on restoring the car… I have pulled the motor and Transmission…. Every single piece is here. I have taken the motor down to the bare block and the cylinders look great No scaring…. in the cylinders. You can hone the cylinders and rebuild this motor. I don’t believe the cylinders will need to be bored. The gentleman I purchased the car from said the car was running when he parked the car in 1980. Vehicle still has the tag – dated 1980 when it was parked. My Son wanted to build this Car… But he has moved on to another Project. So here it is…. Happy Bidding I have more Pics if needed. Please ask Questions do not assume Thanks. This Car is being sold “WHERE IS - AS IS” - This IS a PROJECT CAR. NO-Returns No-Refunds
