1961 Mercedes 180 b. This car runs but smokes out the tailpipe. The person I got it from started restoring it years ago and installed many new parts including: Master cylinder Water pump Rear bearings and seals Steering Dampner Fuel pump Throw out bearing Transmission Fork Clutch Plate Steering Linkage Diagonal Link U-Joints Voltage Regulator Tires The following were rebuilt: Brake cylinders Brake shoes Radiator Engine Transmission Pressure plate I replaced the thermostat with a NOS replacement. The original gas tank was rusted, so I installed a new modified (non original) tank and sender, but haven't hooked the gas gauge up. The red leather interior is in decent shape. This car would make an excellent driver with a little work, I just don't have the time or space anymore. It comes with some extra new parts. I may deliver for a fee within 300 miles of Reno. Becker radio installed in dash, but does not have the correct trim piece. I will try to post a pic. Carpet has been removed, no sign of rust anywhere from what I can see.On May-19-10 at 13:44:01 PDT, seller added the following information: I've added pictures of the trunk floor, undercarage, front and rear fenderwells. All metal looks solid, I didn't notice any rust through. As you can see, it has a spare tire and what looks to be an original jack. Becker radio not installed properly and holes in the door for speakers, not sure if this is original or not. I also found what looks like an original owners manual. Comes with a truck full of extra parts and reciepts from the previous two owners. The car is currently registered and insured, I have driven it around the block, but don't really trust it any farther due to the smoke coming out the tailpipe. It does have an electric fuel pump and modified gas tank and mentioned above, otherwise looks to be all original. I am not a Mercedes expert, I'm a '55 Chevy and '50 Cadillac enthusiast.
