Vehicle Detail
The garage clean-out continues... My first motorcycle is pictured on this page. It's a 1993 Suzuki GS500E street bike. Here's the story on this guy... In 1997 my dad bought me this bike used on the show room of Z & M cycle sales in PA. 13 months after I started riding the bike, a car went through a stop sign and I hit his rear quarter. Out of the deal, we get the Suzuki back for $100.00, but I can't ride it because it's totalled. I did some work on the bike, I bent the handlebars back to normal, and fixed the ring around the gauges. I pulled the bend out of the pegs and painted the engine again. And then I went to basic training for the Air Force. Over the past 10 years this bike has been dragged all across America with me. I have always wanted to get it running, but never had the time, nor the money, to dump into the bike. I am going to DC soon and have a much bigger bike, so this guy is moving on. The title is clear, however it is ALSO A SALVAGE TITLE. I want to make sure you understand that. This bike must be repaired and inspected before it can be ridden anywhere in any state. The bike comes with the white rims and under body fairing that the original owner purchased. I put the pink stickers on a while ago for my ex to learn, but she never picked up riding, or being a good wife for that matter. But that's another story, and another auction...yeah. UPDATE: I have just lowered the "Buy it Now" option to $750.00. Along with that, I wanted to mention the items that I know about that are wrong with the bike. -Dent in the fuel tank-Clutch adjustment nut is missing (my fault)-Clutch hydraulics need bled and serviced. (clutch should still be good)-Rubber mount for the gas tank needs replaced (the tank won't come off, but it's loose)-Carbs need rebuilt. The bike ran about three years ago, and well enough for me to use it (illegally that is) to teach someone to ride. So there is hope. Even then the carbs were getting cranky and the idle wasn't quite right. Buyer is responsible for pickup/shipping. I offer no warranty, and the bike is sold "as-is" If you have a question, let me know via email. Now, stop reading and buy this bike. -Nick
