Vehicle Detail
1936 Chevrolet 2 Door SedanThis vehicle was acquired from a family who had owned and maintained it for about 20 years. It was repainted over approximately 10 years ago. The vehicle is all original and is in very good condition. Interior is the original mohair. Seats, Door Panels, and Carpet are all good. The front rubber mat I replaced upon acquisition. The original deteriorated from age. I could not find a replacement but used the original to cut a new mat from similar textured rubber. There is a new shifter boot and emergency lever boot included but not installed. The head liner has two tears one of which is very small and the other noticeable. See picture. All glass is excellent along with the operational ability. Doors fit and close excellent. Weather strips are original and very dried from age. Aside from a surface rust spot on driver's front fender, see picture, body appears rust free. Bumpers were painted silver years ago and are pitted. Engine compartment is dry but could use detail. Trunk has proper spare, jack, and grease gun. No leaks - No SmokeI have driven this vehicle about 10 miles in a residential area and up to 45 mph. The car is still tight and handles accordingly. Brakes, Tires, and Exhaust appear to operate well. Vehicle starts well following a battery replacement. Oil was changed following a 2 - year hiatus. Always under roof and on a cement floor. All electrical work excellent as well as vacuum wipers. I feel confident mileage is correct and vehicle is original. Excellent vehicle for an enthusiast who would like to drive immediately and make perfect as time permits. Reproduced service manual included. Plus original dealer option book. Possible Attention needed to fuel filler neck where it attaches to fuel tank. I noted some drips from that joint while filling. Also, The passenger front seat back where material folds under is loose. No tears but may need refastening.I would be interested in a trade for a 1933-1935 Chevrolet Coupe original or restored. No street rods or projects. Terms: $1,000 Down in 48 Hours Non refundable. Balance in 14 days from sale in cash or cashiers check.Vehicle must be moved in 3 weeks
