That part is true. What is not true and is misleading, that an insurance comapny when the car is recovered, has to pay on a claim, they may and will most likely cause the car to be designated with a "salvage" title. Does not mean that the car was wrecked or rebuilt. (see definitions in the history report covering this) The car when recovered, was missing it's original top, the original sawblades wheels, and the stereo. These have been replace new, as the top is new, the wheels are NOS 2000 chrome spokes, and the stereo is a Sony surround sound. I think the car is better than if left with the old original parts, as the top is perfect, the wheels, in my opinion, set the car off better than the original, and I never liked the Delco stereo system that came factory with these cars. If you buy it, the title will have a nondescriptive designation, of "salvage". This is the history of the car. Original miles seen on the odometer, as it's digital. I have drove it very little, (less than 100 miles) over the winter, since last summer when the pics was taken. I have added after-market wood grained dash enhancement in burl walnut, stainless steel entry with Corvette logo, center console glove box cushion with logo, and a bra, as seen in the photos. This car is a blast to drive and is quick and nimble and drives like a dream. No known or detectable paintwork, as I can't find any over spray, or repaired panels...body is near mint. Never smoked in and it smells nice Has the owners manual from the factory in it's leather zip case. Original MSRP $48334.00 This car is very clean, and near mint condition ! When recovered the wheels, convertible top, and the stereo had been removed. Hence, new tires and wheels, new top and a new Sony stereo. When insurance recovered and paid the claim, they tagged the title with a "salvage" designation. The car was never wrecked, damaged, or mistreated except for the few missing parts upon retrieval. I've had it checked out thoroughly and everything is as manufactured and requires no repairs on anything. Even the air is ICE cold....if a word on the title bothers you, then don't bid, but if you want an extra clean, low miles Corvette, with these type of wheels and in near new condition, then this car is for you. I will entertain offers, but will not ding it for replaced tires, wheels, and a new top, instead of the old ones with a phrase on the title that could mislead a person on condition.
