1979 Honda HONDA CM T 400

I picked up this bike from a 65 year old woman that bought this bike brand new too ride too her job back when the gas crunch was on and she was driveing a big pontiac catalina and needed too save some money . ( Those were her exact words . ) I even saw a picture of her the day she bought it . This bike is in really good original shape with the exception of the battery side cover being cracked and a piece of it broke off , but she even had the broke piece and gave it too me. The bike is all there .This bike was last registered in 92 and has sat in storage since .She had moved and went to move it too her new location and the front brake stuck so she had someone try too release the pressure on the caliper and removed the brake resivoir on the front brake handle bar ( wich is not the way too do it ) but anyway ihave it and its all there . Also seat is perfect and hard too find ! Tires are good .This would be a great first time bike or a economical gas saver too run around with . This bike will clean up nice . Carbs will have too be cleaned , new battery , and brakes will need too be gone through because of sitting . The only thing i would replace if i was going too would be the tail pipes wich have rusted away at tail ends . They are availeable on ebay or aftermarket suppliers, or bike salvage yards.
