Since I am a mechanic we thought this car would be fun to drive! We drove the car less than 5000 miles after rebuilding the engine, re-coring the radiator and the thermostat/coolant reservoir. We replaced the alternator, power steering pump, belts, hoses, fan clutch, carburetor (Holley), and all tune-up components. All new brakes were installed front and rear with a new master cylinder. New tires were installed and an alignment was performed. Since 2003 it has been sitting inside at my shop. I just recently brought the car home to sell (need money, twins on the way!). The body is in decent condition with minor dings and could use a fresh paint job. All chrome is in excellent condition, no rust. The interior is very clean with the exception of the door panels. The door panels are cracking around the grab handle area. All lights, gauges, radio and power windows work properly. The air conditioning is inoperative. There are minor leaks coming from the power steering pump and the transmission shifter seal. We recently drove the car to a classic auto show that was about 60 miles round-trip and the car drove smoothly! When the car was at its peak, it would cruise easily at speeds over 100 mph. But, alas those days are done and it’s time to move on. The registration is current and up-to-date.
