Up for auction today, we have 1991 Ford Mustang LX. It has a 2.3 litre 4 cylinder engine and a manual transmission. This is a somewhat rare coupe. From what i have been told there were not many of these cars made. The car runs and drives, but is not inspected so the car WOULD NEED TO BE TRAILERED. Would make an excellent project car to put a 5.0 litre engine in. So as for the condition of the car, it has new tires, new brakes, a new starter, a new alternator, and fairly new headlights (by fairly new, i mean they were replaced last year, so they are not all foggy like most older headlights). The known issues are, the parking brake has been unhooked, the trunk leaks slightly because the car has an aftermarket spoiler, the stereo leaves something to be desired, the top of the gas tank has a small hole in it so you can't fill it more than 3/4 of the way full, fuel gauge does not read accurately, and the speedometer does not work properly. The car is on it's third engine. When the car was purchased, it was having timing issues, and it eventually seized. I replaced it with a used enging from a salvage yard, but it was bad from the salvage yard. Got a new engine from the salvage yard and put it in and it is the engine that has been in this car for 4-5 years now. The engine had 60,000 miles on it when it came from the salvage yard, so i have no idea how many miles the engine actually has on. The car runs great. It is a very nice little manual vehicle, especially for people just learning to drive a manual. It also gets pretty good gas mileage. Its been a while since it was driven regularly but when it was it would get upwards of 22 mpg. I will say again, the car is not inspected so it would need to be trailered away.
