Vehicle Detail
1955 Chevrolet Nomad Wagon PROJECT Good Solid Body that is not perfect but, way above average for a 55 year old hot rod. Original power window, power seat car, unfortunately the seat is long gone. Rough around the edges but a great car to build. The rockers are solid, passenger side rocker is beat up but not rusty. Driver side is solid and straight. The floor pans are really solid. The passenger side front and behind seat needs a little attention, not changed. The driver side front and behind seat are good. The driver side under the rear seat is the only bad one. I am guessing that some one spilled their Coke or something because it needs a 12 X 14" patch changed. The roof is straight and solid as is the cowl and around the windshield. All of the body mounts look very good as well. Rear side glass is broken but good used originals are included. The original frame has seen better days. It is not rusty, but it has had a rough life. The front horns are bent and disconnected and the right rear has been whacked as well. It is still very workable. I was going to use an aftermarket chassis but everyone has their own preferences. The wheels are old American Torque Thrust knock offs that are 16 X 8.5 on the rear and 15x7 for the front. The rears have new BFG 275/60/16 tires on them fronts are 225/7/15. The tires have less than 50 miles on them, the wheel are very nice. It has a 1962 327 with double hump heads that I was told was rebuilt when I purchased the car. I have done nothing to the engine in the years that I have had it and it had been sitting for 10 + when I bought it 4 years ago. It does turn over. I planned on tearing it down, cleaning and replacing the gaskets. It has been stored inside most of those years. It has a muncie 4 speed I was told is out of a Corvette. Still has the corvette shifter on it as well. Most if not all of the interior trim is included. I do not have the front fender trim ie: eye brows and side molding. The door spears are included. Also included is new hood bow tie, new rear v emblems and rear belair scripts and bow tie emblems, new hood bird, nice front bumper core, the original power window switches and much more. Please read entire description and view all of the pictures. If you have any questions please call me @ 503-989-1746 for honest answers to any other questions.
