1984 BMW R-100 1000 CLASSIC VINTAGE Well I'm sure no expert on BMW'S, but I aquired this R-100 from an elderly retired man who has not ridden it in over a year. It's been sitting in his carport idle. This bike is exactly as I got it as well as this information. He says the bike runs and rides excellent as parked. The oil light has been on and he was going to get it looked at, but lost interest and never did. I have the factory BMW hard bags, a new windshield, owners manual, and 2 sets of keys for it. Since it's been in storage, I'm sure it will require whatever that would dictate. (tune-up battery, fresh fuel etc.) This bike however is 27 years old and is being sold as-is. I would much rather you plan for the worst, and hope for the best, than be disappointed in any way. The bike has newer Metzlers and looks to be in excellent condition. Please see my photos and ask any questions you may have. I honestly can't imagine finding a nicer, un molested, more complete, and original R-100 like this one for the price. I have no doubts what so ever, that someone more mechanical than myself could have this bike up and running again in short order. I only want the buyer of this BMW to be as excited as I was When I first saw it. It needs lots of cleaning and detailing, but could look close to new again with a little elbow grease and attention to detail. I have a clear and open Colorado title from the previous owner, (which is in his name) I have a feeling that whom ever ends up with it, will be thrilled with it, but thats just my humble opinion. My opening bid is 800.00 with no reserve. If your not mechanical or a motorcycle type this bike may not be for you. But if you are a mechanical bike enthusiast, this one may have your name on it, and interest you. I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can.
