Vehicle Detail

Hello, This a Vanagon GL Wolfsburg Edition model. It comes with power steering, air conditioning ( works great, however it is not ice cold like a new car) , power brakes. The Wolfsburg Edition was special in 1984 and is unique since it is most recognized by the two tone dark brown/tan color combination, it has the recaro type interior. The table tops are different, the seat surfaces are very a durable velour/corduroy like materials ( there are absolutely no tears or worn spots on the seats/paddings/bedding anywhere, super clean and odor free), door panels are upgraded vinyl. It has a factory working digital clock, tachometer ( really cool ). Padded dash unlike the regular Westfalias . This Van still has the original dash cover placed on it since new, thus not a crack on the dash, and no fading on the dash. All the windows were professionally tinted with no bubbling or hazing so the interior has been well protected. This Camper has only had 2 previous owners, California titled vanagon. The last owner was a married couple who bought from the original owner approximately 2 years ago from a retired gentleman who has not used it much at all in the past 8 years due to his age. They only used the van for approximately 1k miles in the past 2 years. According to him the previous owner was meticulous and was told the motor was rebuilt one time by the original owner, he did not recall when and how many miles were on it at the time of the rebuild. The engine is in top shape, it is super quiet, super smooth, starts right up, head gasket is still soft/pliable. Absolutely no leaks whatsoever. It has approximately 157,600 original miles on it. All the paint is original and still shines beautifully, absolutely no previous repairs at all. Absolutely no rust at all. It has been fully detailed inside and out. I had the van exterior paint clay barred, hand waxed so the paint is super clean and smooth to touch. There are no dents/dings on the entire van, amazing. There is of course small scratches here and there, tiny road paint chips in the front of the van, but I had it professionally touched up. The original owner had the entire chassis undercoated many years ago so it has absolutely no rust at all. Since it is undercoated, road noise is very minimal. The van had a full tune up 1k miles ago with receipt of maintenance: including new bosch plugs, cap , rotor, new plug wires, air filter, new fuel filter, fuel lines, injector seals, intake boots, 3 brand new serpentine belts, breather hose, all 4 brand new axle cv boots( and axle bearings repacked ) front wheel bearings repacked with grease. It has a brand new oil change with german oil filter, brand new complete brake fluid flush and brakes were bled/adjusted. The front brakes have over 90% life left and the rear brakes have over 75% life left, rear brakes adjusted. The alloy wheels are off a 1990 Vanagon GL model that I purchased separately for the van it is 14x6 inch, 1/2 inch wider than the stock steel rims/plastic hub caps that came originally for the van. The alloy wheels are super clean ( they have been fully cleaned front and back sides and waxed) I even placed VW logos on the center caps. It has 20 brand new chromed lug/bolts. The tires are Kumho 857, 185 r14 with over 75% tread left on them, no uneven wear, they are 8 ply light truck radials. More information about the tires :( http://ssl.delti.com/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=135&Cookie=froogle&details=Ordern&typ=KH_5750&ranzahl=4&nichtweiter=1 Both outer tie rod ends have just been replaced with a lifetime warranty on the parts, and front end is aligned. I just had the tires re-balanced. This van drives straight, solidly, no drifting, no shaking in the steering wheel as a well kept up van should be . It goes 75 mph at 3600 rpm without hesitation. All the fluids checked , changed if needed or topped off . The van has been completely gone through and beyond. Everything is in tip top shape for a camping trip. The van has a full tank of premium gas , the van will not be driven ( with the exception of test drives ) and stored in my garage so as to guarantee as I have described it. The skylight in the camper top was replaced as well as all the camper top and luggage rack seals done back in May/2008 It even still has the 2nd row seats included ( most owners have thrown theirs away ) and easily slides out of its track if you decide to use the space for camping instead of carrying 6 passengers, all seats have seat belts( two in the 3 row, 2 in the second row and two in the front) The spare tire is in excellent shape, still like new, all the tools necessary are all there( the factory jack/metal rod, the wrench is all there and a newer upgraded fire extinguisher mounted near the slider door. It has a Kenwood Am/Fm/Cd player with 4 speakers. The sink (water pump is brand new) works perfectly, stove top works perfectly. The refrigerator works plugged into the house and on electric mode. I am not sure if it works on propane as the previous owner never used it, I have not tested it out. It looks clean and should work just fine. I have also refilled the propane tank to full. The engine is super quiet, smooth and powerful, it does not leak a drop of oil. The clutch engages nicely and positively, no slipping . The cooling system was flushed by the previous owner . The manual 4 speed transmission is super smooth, engages nicely and positively. The van passed California Emissions on February 23, 2010 with flying colors and is good for 90 days for vehicle transfer in the state of California. The catalytic converter and muffler was changed 8 years ago and only has 3k miles of use on it. Included and not pictured is the front license plate and mounting bracket. I purposely left it off because I wanted to show how straight the front bumper is. The rear chrome bumper is showing some age as the top part of the bumper the chrome has lost some of its shine that's about it. Registration is current until July/2010 I had the entire brand new Canvas camper 3 window top put in . I upgraded the original top since it had a small 6 inch tear, and it only had one window. With 3 windows it allows extra air to circulate through out the van. The end window and screen both unzips separately to allow access to the luggage area on the roof of your camper. All zippers, including the end screen zipper, are neatly covered on the outside by a weather flap to keep out ran and protect the zipper from the elements. If you noticed the wrinkles on the new top, per the installer and the manufacturer, it will straighten out with use and exposed to weather. They said if you were to spray it down with water it will shrink quicker like a canvas top on a boat would. All the extra curtains are there, even the mosquito net is there(as pictured). I also replaced the original windshield along with a brand new German OE rubber seal since the old original windshield had pitting, tiny chips in it ( replacing it was not necessary, however I am very meticulous and wanted it done) The windshield wipers are also brand new. The windshield washer bottle was drained and topped off with brand new windshield washer fluid. Both headlights are Sylvania extra vision , both low beam/high beam, the horn, signal lights, driving lights, brake lights, back up lights , all the interior lights, instrument lights all work perfectly.I have it advertised for sale locally and so listing may end at any time if it is has been sold. My reserve price is very reasonably set Please send me an email if you have any questions I welcome all pre-inspection by you in person or by your mechanic, ebay vehicle inspections etc...
