For Auction is my Calssic 79 Celica Gt Coupe. Not A Liftback. It has a 20R 4 cyllinder with a 5 speed transmission. I bought this car to for many reasons. I love these old Celicas and they are getting extremely hard to find in this condition. I bought it from the second owner who had lost her license about 10 years ago. So it has been sitting for quite awhile. I got it home and started working on it. It has alot of new parts and runs extremely well. I use it for my daily driver. The reason I am selling it is mostly money reasons. I do not want to sell this car but life leaves me no choice.The title is clear and the tags are good till 2011. The coupe model is a hard to find model. Here is what i have done. Dropped gas tank and had it cleaned out. Had the radiator rebuilt instead of buying a new one( the new plastic ones aren't as good as the originals ), new hoses,thermostat,plugs,wires and a battery.New clutch,clutch bearings,slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder.Wheels and tires off an 84 Celica with Grand Am performance tires that have approx 80%+ tread.Replaced filters and belts.Replaced front pully seal and oil pump o-ring. I did a ton of cleaning and scrubbing. This is a great commuter car that starts everytime and is totally fun to drive. The 20R is out of a 78 Celica and purrs. I have the original 20R with all the brackets, A/C pump and power steering pump that I can give to the winner if they want it. The car does not have A/C or Power steering right now because of the block difference from 78-79. Yes there is a difference where the brackets bolt to and I didn't know that until I had the engine already in the car. The original 20R did not run because of the carb and distributor was rusted out and I had this other engine so I swapped them. Winner will get everything I have that came with the 79 Provided wiinner can pick it up or arrange delivery. The exterior is a bright white and has several scratches, paint chips and a few dings. Hey It's 31 years old.The driver side door has a dent where the side mirrior mounts. The mirror is broken but I have a replacment that I give to the winner.All the glass is good, No cracks in windshield, windows roll up and down no problems. Doors don't sag and they close tight and lock.The trunk lid was bent and did not close tightly. I was able to bend the hinges and get it to close and replaced the seal so it does not leak but doesn't close excatly like it was when new.This does not take away from the Apperance or the function of the lid. It closes and locks fine. The Interior is a little rough. I cleaned the carpets, the seats and dash are cracked but have nice covers.There is a missing back seat side panel but all in all it is perfectly fine for a daily driver. The mechanics of the car are very good. runs and drives great but still needs a little fixing in that I think it needs u-joints as ther is a little vibration in the driveline. I was going to replace them but like I said before Money issues stop me. Don't hesitate to ask me questions if you got any. This a good running classic car that would be a joy to own for anybody. I love driving it and best of all no one where I live has one of these cars that looks and runs like mine. I get looks and people telling me about there Celica stories when they see this car. Truley a classic car. I can not deliver this car. You must arrange for it to be picked up and or shipped. I am selling it "AS IS WHERE IS" just like anybody else on Ebay.
