Hello everyone, you are looking at pictures of a great running fully equipped 1987 GMC Jimmy K5 4x4. This truck should be considered a great starting point for a restoration, or as a great running project truck which you can drive as you build. We are fully aware that this is a GMC Jimmy and not a Chevy Blazer, we just like listing all K5's under the Blazer heading. Now about the truck...... This Jimmy was ordered from the factory with the Sierra Classic package which included the following. -Factory fuel injected 5.7 liter 350 V8 motor. -Factory 700 R-4, 4 speed automatic transmission. -NP 208 part time transfer case. -Other options are, power windows, door locks, A/C, power rear tailgate glass, tilt wheel, cruise control, off-road package, deep tinted side glass, oversized gas tank, and AM FM cassette. The truck runs and drives good, the motor is very healthy and the transmission shifts perfect. All 4 wheel drive equipment is in great working condition as well. The motor pegs the oil pressure gauge at nearly 60 lbs. The truck starts right up everytime and goes. The only modification to the motor is a Flowmaster 2 chamber muffler which gives the truck a nice low rumble. The truck has all of its original suspension in tact and it is in great shape, other than it could proboably use a set of new shocks. Both front and rear axles consist of factory GM 10 bolts, and both are in good condition. We just installed a frame reinforcement plate on the frame where the steering box bolts up to keep it from cracking which is a common problem for these vehicles. The truck has a set of 33 inch mud terrain type tires mounted on aftermarket aluminum wheels. Tires have lots of tread on them, but they are a few years old. All power equipment is in working condition, all windows roll up and down great including the rear tailgate glass. All the gauges work except for the voltmeter. The trucks original radio still works and has been upgraded with the addition of a couple of 6x9's in the back. The truck has Mechanical items which will need attention- A/C does not work. Power steering pump is starting to make noise. Cruise control does not engage, passenger side seat does not fold forward the mechanism is stuck. All plugs wires, fluids should be replaced. Exterior- The truck is 99% RUST FREE, it has a spot of rust in the door jam on the passenger side, not sure how it got there but it would be an easy fix. There are several scratches, dings, dents, scrapes, and imperfections all around. The rear bumper has some dents. The frame, and underneath of this truck are 100% RUST FREE. Interior- Interior is in mostly fair shape, the headliner is new, the drivers seat and passenger seat have been redone, they look ok, the carpet is dirty, the dash pad has some cracks, and the rear seat is in nice shape. I think that just about covers everything, if you see something which i have missed please don't hesitate to write or call me at any time. Again please take note that this truck is being sold as a PROJECT vehicle due to some of the cosmetic work, and minor mechanical work which it will need if you plan on restoring it.
