Vehicle Detail
1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Convertible. Red with White Top and White Bucket Seat Interior. A Very High Option Car. 350 Rocket 4bbl (original), Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission, Factory Air Conditioning, Bucket seats with Center Console, Power Windows, Am/Fm Radio, Super Stock 1 Rally Wheels with Matching Spare, Power Front Disc/rear Drum Brakes, Power Steering, Deluxe Seat Belts with Shoulder Harness, Tinted Glass, Rear View Mirror Light and Trunk Light. The car Starts easily and Runs and Drives nicely with no funny noises or smoke. It is very tight and rides smoothly down the road. It is a comfortable and easy car to drive. At some point this car had a repaint from the original color (gold) to Red. It is an older paint job that still shows very well and has a nice shine. Not a show car paint job but a very nice one. There are a few imperfections in the paint/body but the most noticeable are the Fresh (nobody can explain how it happened) scratch in the drivers front fender and a small 2 inch blister in the rear quarter panel lip that has been the same as long as I can remember. The interior looks like new with little or no signs of wear on the seats. The top works nicely and is older but still looks good. The car has been garage kept all of its life and not used in winters. The under carriage looks very clean (for the age) with no signs of rot. I have only looked at this car from on the ground but it looks very clean. The trunk is also very clean with no visible rot. The A/C does not blow cold and probably needs a re-charge. Also I just noticed the right rear power window stopped working and that will need attention. I purchased this car in September 2001 from the original owner the wife of an Illinois State Senator. Her parents purchased the car as a collage graduation present in Miami Florida. I will include the Original window Sticker ,Owners Manual and Protecto-Plate with the car. The car has an actual 81000 miles as verified when I purchased it. Over all this is one of the nicest Original 1972 Cutlass Convertibles still out there and will make a nice investment/toy for someone. All said this is still a 38 year old car and is being sold as is and shown. I have done my best to describe this car but may have unintentionally missed something. Please call me and ask all questions before bidding if necessary. If your purchase requires an inspection please do it before bidding. The car is located in Lincolnwood Illinois about 20 minutes from O'Hare Airport in Chicago. Please do not bid unless you are willing to follow all the auctions rules and have all funds to complete the purchase. Call Ian @ (773)551-5075 with any questions.
