1960 Volkswagen Type II Transporter Restore Project!!! 3 Door Extended Cab Pickup 1971 VW Type IV Fuel Injected Engine Tons of Photos, Let the Pics do the talking, ready for you to restore. Clear Title, not a salvage title. I purchased this VW to do a full restore. Due to relocation for employment, I have to move and could use the funds to help move as well as reduce how much I have to move. What I do know about this: I have found most everything one could possilbly need on three different VW sites as well as eBay. The seats were ripped but the VW sites sell the replacement covers and horse hair seat cushion. I have all glass (not shown in the photos) one winshield is cracked, but the local auto glass company said since its flat glass, it could be easily cut to fit. In the photos, one of the doors is beat up pretty bad, but im not a body guy so i didnt try to straighten it out. The roof has surface rust, but not rotted like the underside. The front end has 3 dents, but could be easily pounded out, they are not really creased. I was told when I bought the VW that the engine ran but I have never tried to start it. I disasembled the vehicle to send out for media blasting, but never got that far. I am looking to sell this to aid in my move, its not a fire sale and im not interested in trades of any type. The truck (my kids call Philmore) is sitting in Strasburg Colorado and ready to be towed or trailered away. It is a clear Colorado Title with no leans and is not salvage. Import of them virtually stopped after 1963 because a Tariff the US put on Chickens, Potatoes and Light Pickup trucks. The US charged a 25% premium for these imported vehicles and killed the import of fine little pickups like this one.
