For sale is my 1987 SS Monte Carlo Aero Coupe. This car is a rare Aero Coupe designed for NASCAR. There were only 6,052 car made. How many look and drive this nice? How many are left? it comes with all books, PDI sheet, owners manual, buyers brochure and original buyers order. $16,500 when purchased new from the original owner. We had planned on doing some small detailing and showing this car (it is that nice ). Please read entire listing and I will let you know the good and bad as I know it. Drive train is a HO 305 (5.0 liter) engine with the new style heads (centerbolt valve covers). Does not smoke, starts without issues and no check engine lite. The transmission is an automatic overdrive. Both engine and transmission are in perfect running condition no leaks, shifts through all gears without issue. The drivetrain has not been modified and is 100% stock. ( hard to find in correct condition) has new tires on correct alloy wheels. My wife has been driving this car and has no complaints. Starts, stops and drives with no issues. Interior is in great condition has new carpet, new headliner,new visors, package tray and new doorpanels. (they were sun faded). The dash is near mint condition and has no cracks. has the original factory mats. The factory steering wheel looks almost new. Has a working factory AM/FM cassette radio with factory 4 speaker system. I would rate this a solid 9 out of 10. Exterior has been repainted base coat clearcoat correct color and looks great. The locks, moldings, fenders were all taken off for the repaint. (several years old now but looks great ) has new decals, new weather strips (doors, trunk, driprail ). The glass is in great original condition and windshield has no cracks. This cars exterior is as nice or better than new. (finish was not very good when new). Trunk is solid and has the correct jack, spare tire and is rustfree it has the correct trunk liner and looks to be in perfect shape. I would say mint except I know the tire was used once. What the car needs : The mufflers have small holes in them (I can't hear anything but you can see from the back side) Has the original cat. converter no problems but I would run true duals if I was to keep the car and lose the converter. Windows are slow to come up, but still work. A/C doesn't work on high (needs a high blower relay). No reserve auction so good luck and first bid could win.
