Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a gray 1975 CB 200T and included in the price will be a 1976 CB200T parts motorcycle. The 1975 CB 200T was a commuter and was registered up until 2008. The motorcycle runs, but could use a tune up as the idle is rough. The motorcycle is in what I would consider good to very good condition. It does have some scuffs on the tank and a small amount of surface rust on some of the chrome. Everything works as it should on the motorcycle and the key was also switched by the prior owner to the top of the handle bars, where at that time he added a switch for the headlamps. The prior owner did epoxy the gas tank, but I would guess he did it with the fuel petcock installed because the reserve/on switch has no difference in gas level. I have run it this way for over 12 years...I just remember to set the odometer and get gas. The motorcycle did have a rear luggage rack which I removed but will also include in the sale. I also have the owners manual and Clymer's repair manual that will be included. This motorcycle has 10116 miles and I have owned it for over 12 years. I originally started with the 1976 CB200T and the motorcycle needed work when I got it. I was able to get the bike running and the motor ran excellent...until the battery ran out of juice. The motor has an electrical problem that does not allow for the battery to charge while running. It has obvious other issues as it was crashed and the starter button is missing. That led me on a search for a parts bike which I ended up finding the 1975 and switching missions. The funny thing is...I kept the 1976 for parts, but have never needed to take anything off to keep the 1975 running. The motorcycle was given to a friend in hopes we could get it running and start our wives riding with the two CB200's. Unfortunately that was our plan and not our wives! I got the motorcycle back and it is complete, but some electrical parts have been removed. The mileage on this motorcycle is 14414. These will be local pick up only..I will not ship. If additional pictures are needed I can email whatever pictures are needed. On May-08-10 at 08:20:08 PDT, seller added the following information: ***Note*** It has been so long since I purchased this motorcycle that I thought I had received a "Certificate of Origin" from the State of Connecticut when I registered the motorcycle. My wife went through our vehicle titles and informs me that I may have been mistaken, because she does not have the certificate I thought I was issued for the bike. I was on the CT DMV website and see that they do not title motorcycles manufactured prior to 1981, so I may have been confused. I will provide a bill of sale and any assistance the buyer needs at DMV. Thanks
