Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1951 Ford Victoria, 2 Door Hard Top. I purchased this car with hopes of completing improvements while driving to and from cruise nights. A good deal came up on a 1956 Chevy and I now need to let this go. My loss is someone else’s gain... This car is equipped with a 1953 Merc flathead that runs real good, and has the stock rare factory automatic transmission that shifts well. It has been converted to 12 volts and has a alternator is in palce of the generator. The rest of the car is fairly stock except for the door panels and seats which fit nice but are not original. The car still has the factory head liner which has a few rips but great shape for its age. The body is in good condition for it’s age, All the factory seems are present in the doors, hood, and trunk. The car has had body work in the past, but seems to be holding up pretty good. The floors seem nice and solid, and don’t look to me that this car would take much to complete a proper paint job. The car is painted enamel burgundy that wasn’t prepped very good because it is peeling in a few palaces and that shows what is believed to be the factory green paint below. Most of the chrome is painted silver (not sure why) because it looks to be in good enough shape to be re chromed. The only trim that needs to be replaced is the right rear spear that connects to the taillight. It is dented and has a small rust hole where the damage is present. The right rear taillight is also broken. The Vicky has newer dual exhaust, and radial tires in the front. Speedo and gauges are not working. Mileage in listing is incorrect, speedo isn't working... Car is for sale locally, so I have the right to end the auction early Any questions call me Jamie 905 655 5241 905 706 5876 I will help with shipping this car world wide... On Apr-29-10 at 06:24:01 PDT, seller added the following information: There is some rust in the rear of the drivers side rocker panel, and some rust bubbles showing in a few places. Seems like it would be an easy fix. The car isn't perfect, but still a very good car for the price that I'm asking.
