Vehicle Detail
1959 Chevrolet Bel Air 4 door sedan. This is a super driving car!! It has just under 45K original miles. Friend got from relative and it had gone only 3K miles in 30 years!! I have had this great car about 3 years now and have put about 7K miles on it to shows etc. This has a super smooth running 235 6 cylinder. I gave it a tune up, new brakes, wheel cylinders, and all that was needed there, then did have to put new reproduction gas tank and sending unit in, new tires and down the road we went. You can barely hear it running. Goes straight as an arrow and no pull when stopping. It drives like a Caddy but still rides like a Chev even though it also has new shocks too. It has power assist steering and power glide transmission and is radio delete. This Chev has its original Grecian Grey paint with white. Bought new in Markesan, Wi and only driven to Green Lake, Wi. The hard rubber floor is in fair condition with carpet over hump. The seats both front and rear are in excellent condition which I have a seat cover over. The guy I got it from used it in his daughters wedding and the scotch tape took the color off of the package shelf. I forgot to photo the headliner which is stained but in good shape. I have added a few little Impala "do-dads" to sparkle the look. She now has the Impala trunk trim up the center, Impala tail light lens stainless spacers, front fender trim from rockets to windshield, door edge guards, vent shades, and door handle scratch guards which are NOT screwed into the doors but rather double sided taped. The stainless steel fender skirts are vintage 1959 and fit like gloves. I sandblasted and painted the rims white and put Impala hub caps on instead of the dog dish ones which will come with the car. I also added the vintage correct oil filter and have mounted the 1960 washer canister which contains the washer switch which I just did not put on. Once again I can not impress enough how wonderful this car drives and how super quiet it is. The rust you see on the valances is about it. The car has a slight rub blemmish on the front passenger fender, and appears to have sat where something nicked the passenger side doors over and over, see photo. It does leak abit from the engine, tranny, and a drop or two from the rear end, all of which is not much but a cardboard under it is recomended. All in all this is a great car and a blast to drive. Taken on one trip to Michigan and 21 mpg gotton. Any questions what so ever just call me. Chuck 920-232-5419 leave a message and after work I will return all calls. Enjoy bidding on this truely excellent 1959 Chevrolet.
