Vehicle Detail
For sale is our 2002 Saturn SL2. My wife bought this car new right before we got married, so this is a single owner car. We've done all of the scheduled maintenance on this car since new and it has NEVER had any problems whatsoever. UNTIL recently, when it mysteriously started hesitating. It hesitates whenever you push the gas pedal. So, either from a stop, when you push the gas to go, or while you are driving if you let up on the gas and then push it down again it will hesitate. Sometimes the hesitations are mild and other times more abrupt. It has a couple of times stalled when attempting to accelerating from a stop. We've put a lot of money into trying to figure it out but have decided that its time for someone else to give it a try. Here is a list of things we have recently done to it: Fuel filter w/ fuel pressure regulator (expensive on this car!!!) Both coil packs Spark plugs Spark plug wires Throttle body Throttle position sensor Map sensor - (tested at factory) Crankshaft position sensor Engine coolant temp sensor Tested fuel pressure (several times - always is good) And probably more that I'm not thinking of - we've put hundreds of dollars in new parts into this thing. Tires are good and not that old I think as well. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 So here is the deal. This car is really in great shape and still runs beautifully - (EXCEPT for this hesitation). Its killing us to sell this car as we love it and its been so great - we just can't figure out what the problem is and don't have time to keep trying. We are hoping that someone who knows Saturns can get a good deal on this car, and hopefully can fix it and enjoy a lot of good life out of it. Its possible that the fix is still very simple, but we are just done trying. Also, this car hardly burns any oil - which is a big deal as that was a common feature in these cars (my '96 goes through a quart every 500 miles!). The car also gets around 35 mpg on average - a little less if only city driving and a little more if on a highway trip. The inspection has run out, but would pass inspection in a second. Also, I've taken pictures of the tear in the seat and the broken console cover. There really isn't much else to say. I do have the hubcaps if you want them - I just hated taking them on and off to rotate the tires, so I left them off.If you can get temp plates and an inspection you can probably drive it where ever you want to go (if you don't mind the hesitations). Otherwise you will have to arrange to have it towed or shipped away. We will not arrange shipping of this vehicle. If you buy it you are responsible for getting it. Also, please don't email me with ideas about what to try to fix it. We are done with it. If you want to try to fix it, bid on it. Thanks for looking and I'll be happy to try to answer any questions
