OK, so spring and summer are here. You want top-down fun, but also want a real car that’s fast, gorgeous, and built like a bank-vault. Oh, and you want it in excellent condition, and don’t want to pay a lot. Great news! Your car is here! Take a peek at this stunning 2004 CLK500 convertible. Mint condition, 1-owner, no paintwork or accidents EVER, fully inspected, and ready to roll. Even more importantly, lots of service history at the Mercedes dealer from new through today. Everything done on time and at the MB dealer. This includes routine maintenance, oil changes, even recent inspection work by Mercedes Benz to make sure the car is in perfect operating condition. This car was serviced, garaged, and it shows. It needs nothing but a new owner, and looks/drives like a brand new car. -- Here it is in all its glory -- Please let me stop you now if you are looking for a cheap CLK500 convertible. I see them all the time, including ones with lower miles, and I decline to buy them. Try finding one like this; highway miles, all original paint and body panels, great service history, one owner, and fully inspected. NO STORIES OR SURPRISES! Some of these cars have been neglected, leak, rattle, and generally need expensive repairs. Not this one; it’s been babied its whole life. This CLK500 is as nice as cars with half the miles for cosmetic and mechanical condition, and feel on the road. Sure, there are cheaper ones. But none better. Here's the deal: -- This is a 2004 CLK500 convertible in 744 brilliant silver over charcoal leather. It has wood trim, and matching charcoal carpets with light grey headliner. It has 45,xxx miles, looks like a million bucks, and drives like a million bucks too! These photos are all taken after a wash and vacuum; no detailing of any kind (yet). – -- Exterior 9.25 out of 10 (I'm finicky) - Great overall condition paint, body, glass, and trim. No dings, no dents, no scuffs, only a few minor surface scratches, and most of those will come out in detailing. The looks great, with a deep shine to the glossy silver metallic paint that's like looking into a mirror. This car looks great even under fluorescent light in a garage. No swirl marks! -- -- This car has never had any accidents, and wears all its original body panels and paint. Even the lower side-body moldings are in great shape. Chrome, rubber, glass, trim is all very nice. No oxidation, fade, wear, rust, etc. Headlights and windshield are clear and do not have ‘road-rash’.-- -- Look at the body panels.....they are perfectly straight. -- -- The tires are a mix of brands, but have 50%+ tread remaining. At the buy-it-now price, I will include a set of brand new set of performance all season tires. The 18” AMG wheels are true with no bends. This car drives straight as an arrow at any speed you choose. -- -- Interior 9.75 out of 10 - The interior overall including all seating and door leather, seat padding, dash, console, and carpets are in great original condition. No dash cracks, carpet rips, and ZERO wear of any kind on the leather (driver’s bolster shows nearly zero wear too which in these cars is very rare). Everything looks and feels near-new. No smoking ever. -- -- The door panels and birdseye maple wood trim are also in great shape, like the rest of the car. -- Even the trunk and spare are mint. -- -- This car is loaded including full leather, heated front seats, phone prep kit, xenons, and more. -- src="http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/cc266/brucem105/2004%20clk500/seatheater.jpg"> -- The convertible top has been fully serviced by Mercedes Benz and operates perfectly. Take a look at the mechanical parts of the top that most sellers will not show you. They’re in great shape and look great too, even without a detailing. – -- Here she is ready to cruise on a sunny day. Get ready for spring! -- -- Electrical 10 out of 10 - All lights, switches, radio, windows, wipers, seat motors/memory, and power mirrors work perfectly. Headrest motors, vacuum lock system, etc. all operating properly. The HVAC system is fast to respond, and perfect with hot heat and ice-cold A/C. -- --Mechanically 10 out of 10 - Engine starts, idles, runs, and revs to redline in every gear smooth and strong. Transmission is smooth yet aggressive, and downshifts eagerly. This CLK500 runs at high speed with no vibrations or noises. There are no leaks. -- -- Engine is strong and VERY eager to run, transmission smooth and ready to drop down two gears at your command to rocket you past slower traffic. Suspension is tight like new, but floats like it’s on a cloud just like a convertible cruiser is supposed to do. Steering nicely weighted with no play in the box. This car drives and handles like new. -- -- This car comes completer with all its books, working remote key, and ALL warranty service history for the last 6 years. With only 45K miles, it’s not even broken in yet. Full inspection by Mercedes dealer and my mechanic already complete. All you have to do is drive. -- -- If someone selects the buy-it-now option, I will provide the following: a set of mounted and balanced matching high-performance 18” tires, a full $200 detailing including engine bay, carpet shampoo, leather conditioning, orbital polishing, etc. I'll also include brand new Mercedes OEM charcoal floor mats, and ToughGuard paint protectant. This stuff is simply amazing for durability, as it will last up to five YEARS. Dealers charge up to $695 for this stuff! That’s over $1500 in value all included at the BIN price! Wow! -- -- Nits: A few thin scratches to the wheels and body that have mostly been touched-up. Some nics to the rear bumper cover from parking. THAT'S IT. NOTHING ELSE. And if I did not mention those, it's unlikely anyone would even notice...I just want to be up front and honest. -- -- I have good feedback, and sold many Audis, Acuras, and Benzes that the new owners are thrilled with.
