Up for action is my Fathers Cummins turbo diesel 1996 Dodge 2500 3/4 ton extended cab pickup. It has the towing package, aftermarket engine brake, stock engine, running boards, manual locks and windows. The 4x4 works as it should, the 5 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly. The truck has always been maintained well and it has been a good truck for us. My Father was driving it and he said he was pulling a hill in 5th gear when the truck lost some of its power. I looked at it quick and there are no abnormal noises, no smoke, the turbo spins freely, and there is no end play on the turbo shaft. The truck still starts, idles, and runs fine it just doesn't have the power it used to. I have no idea what it is and we don't have time to look at it; I don't live in the same town as my parents so working on it for me hasn't happened. I have been told by my mechanic friend that it might be a fuel issue, clogged injector, or the exhaust brake might be stuck closed. We are selling it as is for a reduced price. The body is rusted, the driver seat is in bad shape, and you can see that the front left fender is dented. It has a Dana 60 front axle and a Dana 80 rear axle with limited slip; both axles function properly. This truck is being relisted becasue the previous party could not come up with the money. This truck is not being sold locally, there is no reserve, and the winning bid of this auction will own the truck so bid with confidence! Please Note that the tires and rims on the vehicle in the picture are not being sold with the truck!! It will have gray steel wheels and E rated tires with minimal tread on them. Also the pipe rack in the picture will not be sold with the truck.
