I'am listing this car for a friend who due to health issues has to sell it. This is one of the nicest 1951 Chevy's you will ever find. It is the rare Sport Coupe model, not the standard 2 dr sedan model. Car has been restored both inside, mechanically and outside sparing no expense. 1st mechanically, the 235 chevy 6 cylinder engine which is an upgrade from the original 216 includes new generator, carburetor, motor mounts, clutch, radiator, transmission mounts, distributor, front and rear brakes and wheel cylinders. Car runs as new with no mechanical issues. The interior has been completely restored which includes, new headliner, steering wheel, seats, door panels, carpet, inside door handles, window cranks all purchased from Hampton Coach in Amesbury Ma. called 15-78 wool broadcloth which is exactly the interior the car left the factory with 59 years ago. The dash has been restored with all chrome trim and knobs in mint condition. Now to the exterior. The body was removed of all old paint and primer and there was no rust, filler or sign of any previous damage to the entire body. The car was then repainted in it's original color fathom green, block sanded and buffed to better than when it was new. Car was painted completely stripped of all trim and chrome and all trim and chrome was replated, replaced or restored to new condition. the front and rear bumper, guards, cross bars, trunk ornament, outside door handles, parking light bezles, headlight bezels, new front hubcaps, headlight mouldings, new glass left and right sides and to top it all off a rare hood ornament option called a gold gazelle. This car has won countless awards and trophy's in it's class at every car show in the area. Car runs and drives as good as new. Owner has spare parts that are included with the car which that consist of 2 fuel pumps, 1 starter, and another generator. Car was purchased new in Tarrytown N.Y. where it was built and the original bill of sale goes with the car.
