2001 Honda Civic EX 4dr, 1.7 V-Tech, 5spd, ABS, PS, PB, CC, Air, power windows and sunroof. Bluetooth/AM/FM/MP3CD/USB and SD card slot for MP3/IPOD control and Aux Input. 143kmiles. relisted since I miss-typed the mileage in the original listing I am the original owner and have garaged this car since it was purchased new. The car is for sale since I want something with an Automatic Tranny to begin teaching my son to drive next month. The car is located 35 minutes West/North West of Hartford in CT. In the last 1.5 years / 10k miles I have done all of the following. New clutch and replaced all bearings and seals in the transmission and transaxle. Some internet reports state that this model was prone to tranny input shaft bearing failure. It was making noise so I had everything replaced while it was out. I may have the Original clutch anddefinately have the original bearings if you want them. They show no unussual wear save for the main Tranny input shaft bearing retention clip where it was spinning against the outer race causing the noise. COMPLETE front end refresh including control arms (ball joints), tie rod ends, sway bar ends and bushings, Struts (Sensatrac), brakes including new NAPA premium discs and Napa Adaptive One Ceramic pads. The same shoes were used in the rear and both brake and clutch fluids were thoroughly flushed, brakes were bedded carefully to insure smooth even braking. 4 wheel alignment and new Bridgestone Potenza tires with less than 5k on their 65k life. Napa sealed 5 year battery. New K&N Cold Air intake kit which raised mpg by about 2mpg to a consistent mid 30s city and upper 30s highway (OEM filter system is included). This car rides and handles like new! No performance modifications other than the filter which never needs to be replaced and improved fuel economy. Drivers seat sliding frame was replaced recently do to a right side rail locking pin being worn. Interior is flawless save for 2 spots on the sunvisor where the sunglasses holder is clipped on. The Roof liner was replaced this winter with a new OEM one. With that done the only 2 common complaints for this car have both been sorted out properly. Exterior shows a few stone chips on the hood and a scratch on the rear bumper cover where a bicycle pedal scratched it. The car has a hitch which was used for a hitch mounted bike rack, rack is not included. A trailer light adapter is installed too though it is unplugged and unused. The stereo I had installed allows you to recieve phone calls through the stereo system as well as alowing the stereo to control an ipod or connect to anything else via the inclued aux input cable (like a gps). It allows mp3 files on a cd or USB keyfob or an SD card. It has a removable face and a remote. It also plays regulalr CDs or CDr / CDrw discs. The car was clipped in the front right corner this winter requiring the plastic bumper cover, right headlight and right fender to be replaced. I have photos of the car both before and after the parts were removed showing that there was no structural damage. The hood and grill did not require replacement as it only impacted the corner of the car. Two years ago I cleaned and re-greased the shifter and linkage which showed no wear. Clutch pedal was examined last year and found to show no signs of wear. Car passed CT emmisions a few months ago and that paperwork is included with all other reciepts and papers. In addition to the unused OEM spare and jack in the trunk I have an extra full size spare mounted on an extra wheel. I took this on trips so I wouldent need to run the small emergency spare in the event of a flat. An extra set of head light bulbs is included since the car has Sylvania Silver Lights installed. It includes an original sales brochure and ALL reciepts as well as a shop manual. OEM radio and airbox are included. I have always taken good care of my cars and refuse to let someone else work on them since they will never put the effort into them that I do. That will be emediately evident to anybody who drives this car. I am a finatic for proper brakes and suspension. You will find no squeeks or undo noises coming from this, or any of my cars. I will plug in my ODBII scanner to show that no codes are present to anybody wishing to come see.
