Yes, this is the same truck that sold last month. The winner had issues that arose after the auction and could not complete the sale. You are bidding on a very nice, well kept, 1977 Chevrolet Silverado 3+3 1 Ton Crew Cab. I'm not going to say it was a frame off restoration, but in 2000, the owner purchased a cab off of a California truck and replaced the original one. (Before you ask, the title and the VIN# match) At that time, all new carpet was put in and all necessary body work was done and the truck was repainted. This was all done at a local body shop that has been in business forever. I would rather see original paint in bad shape than something redone badly. This thing looks very nice. All of the doors, tailgate, etc. shut as well as any vehicle on the road today. At that time, the motor was also gone through and since then, has had no more than 50,000 miles put on it. He is not sure of the total miles on the truck. It has a four speed manual transmission and is four wheel drive, which all works exactly as it should. Also, and you might not be able to say this about your newer vehicle, you can leave it parked on your brand new driveway because it does not leak anything. It runs out great at 70 or 75 and absolutely rides like a car. It also has a gooseneck hitch in the bed. Speaking of the picture of the bed, the tires shown in the bed are not included in the price of the truck, but if you would like them, they can be purchased at the time that you pick up the truck. The tires on the truck are not in real good shape but they do not leak and they ride smooth. I asked him if there were any issues or if it needed anything and he seriously told me that the wipers only work on high, the gas gauge doesn't works occasionally, (probably a ground issue) and the air conditioner could probably use a can of freon. I was really asking for major issues but that is all that he could come up with. I only sell about five to ten vehicles a year on here simply because I will not sell anything that I would not stand behind myself. I have known this individual my entire life and if he says the only problems that he can think of are, the wipers only work on high and it might need a can of freon, then that is all that is wrong with it. This is that man that lives in your town that has the nice pickup that is always clean and well taken care of. If it has ever needed anything, it got it. You will not meet a more honest gentleman in your lifetime and you will realize that when you come and pick up this truck. The hardest part is going to be getting the keys from him. Not only is this truck nice and also functional, just how many of these have you ever seen in your life? 10? This is the ultimate conversation piece in the pits at the race track. I raced on a budget for years and would have killed for this truck. It does the same thing a new one will at less than 1/10 of the price. The reserve is so low on this truck that I almost didn't put one on it. I am going to guess that it is there in less than eight bids, and that includes the guy that bids .99 and the one that bids 50 bucks. The man has the title in hand and is ready to sell it.
